So if a person chooses to go and watch their football teams reserves play in their own town, that makes them a clown does it?

I would have gone but I play football myself on a monday neet, but I would have loved to watch Man u reserves at LSV and I am certainly lacking in big oversized shoes and a funny nose

2,400 were paid for tickets from the Ticket office, with 3 cash turnstiles opened too help handle people wishing to PAY to watch.

How does that constitute free, when it was only Kids tickets that were given away for free, and more paid than what got in for free...?

My daughter and lad went last night with freebies they had picked up from somewere,they were home early said it was boring and blackburn were winning 2-1 so I don't know what time utd equalised.

Football is god to the masses,so I suppose the chance to watch it brings in the crowds

Having attended last night I would be amazed if 2400 people paid. A gate of 3600 in attendance with at least 50% being kids who all had free tickets leaves at best 1800 paying which I doubt but airing on caution that gives 1800 multiplied by £4 £7200 in gate receipts. If you wish our club to do such an exercise expect to be playing Championship 1.

I was in the stand behind the goals and it was chaos Id best describe it as being in one of those brewers fayres places, kids running riot, most of them not wanting to watch the game and many parents totally disinterested.

It might look good the original gate figure but I fully support the club in their stance on not giving away our product!

one is a global brand giving free entry and charging a max £4 for adults.

The only thing it highlights to me is our average of 2300 was fantastic if only 3600 turn up to watch a global brand at those prices.

Incidently for all those who turned up last night thinking they cant get in to Old Trafford try the Man U ticket office tomorrow they have plenty spare for the first teams next home game!! Oh wait a minute they dont want to pay full price I wonder why they dont want to watch us???? Just a thought....

I havn't got anything against them. I grew up as a Man Utd supporter, then got bored. It's the football fan mentality that winds me up. If say Liverpool said 'we're going to get Kenny Dalglish to sign a picture of Stig Inge Bjornebye in his own faeces at Anfield-only £10 a ticket!' it would sell out.

Not all, but a hell of a lot of footbal fans either follow the flock to be 'in' with people or never stop and think 'i'm not enjoying this and it's pretty expensive too'.

Johnny, you forgot that its boring as hell to watch, and why do there players go down, like they've been shot by a sniper, then roll the pitch for the groundsman, then jump up and carry on playing?
