It has something to do with a perception that the RFL treats some professional clubs different from others.

You should ask yourself is that perception correct. I think you probably have thought about it and have come to the conclusion that we are wrong. Fair enough.

The perception is wrong. I thought that was a decent article in RLW this month and the Chp chairmen interviewed all agreed the RFL do everything they can to help Chp clubs

i think its more a case of some clubs get caught & some dont.to be honest.
dont get me going on the 21 chairmen of the CHP'S,if some of them grew some balls the clubs would'nt be scratching round for scaps of the TV deal.instead they'd be banging on the door of the RFL demanding there own TV deal.cos let face it after watching the brad v cas & hull v quinns lei v barra games you could'nt say the champ game was any less entertaining the the SL games was it.

The problem you face, and I cba getting into a debate on this, what are you actually worth to SKY/whoever? Probably nothing really financially and imo you do well to get what you get. FWIW I reckon come the next deal Sky will appreciate that the Chp has developed a TV market and increase your amount depending on future viewing number increases.

I don't know about the Chp but it's not possible to cheat the cap in SL anymore, it's a live audited system, can't be cheated really unless chairmens little henchmen are backhanding brown envelopes illegally, not just breaking SL rules but breaking the law too. Why would they.

its actually worth quite a lot to sky.if the games were shown on terrestrial tv the viewing figures would be twice those for SL games shown on SKY so for that reason alone its worth more than a couple of bob a season to each club.

The fact that we are playing Championship RL instead of Championship 1 RL shows that the RFL doesn't have this huge downer on Leigh that some fans believe them to have.... IMHO.

The BBC wouldn't take it, you live in dream world. Sky ONLY produce the show as part of the SL tv deal, if it was up to them they wouldn't

with the exception of 5/6 team the whole of RL is built on dreams & not pound signs.

Don't CC games - screened by the beeb - usually get much higher viewing figures than the SL fixtures on SKY?

I know when we beat Salford in 2001 - live on terrestial - this was certainly the case.

Don't know, but had wondered about this afew weeks ago when a few of us were discussing whether the Beeb might be interested in 'buying into' RL when they complete their move up north, especially now they seem to have lost so many other big events/sports.

You'll forgive me rubbing it in - but it was one of our 'high spots' from the last decade!!

there you go again dico just like the rest of them on the vt twisting thing around,making out were fighting on club issues when its plainly obvious thats not the case you think that the london club[even though its failing miserably& the french club[even though no one who does'nt follow the club in france a has got any idea what SL isis more important than the 21 clubs that make up the majority of the semi pro & the pro teams in RL & that is obviously not true.in all honesty i'm disgusted & disappointed at the stupidity of the supporters of the major teams in SL that they are so short sighted that they cant see the long term damage thats being done to the game.it really does begger belief.
