It was. He has signed 3 years so he should be here for 3 years. He obviously doesnt care about the club or the players. used to have a lot of respect for the man but if he goes to salford all that respect will be gone.

| its not about salford, its about coaching in the box,and salford must have been told they're safe now.he's also 'supposedly' applied for the widnes job which suggests they've definitely been told that they're entering the box as well.he gave it his best shot at leigh and fell short, this clubs going nowhere now,so why should he stay?

you cant blame him for going to st helens.
if we'd ticked the right boxes this season i dont think he would be looking for another job until the decision was made.

A contracts a contract. He knew when he was signing it he may not get chance in super league with us so why sign a 3 year deal? ill tell you why. He has signed a 3 yeard deal just incase no jobs came up in super league. Ian has got that desperate to coach in Super League that he has gone for the Salford assistant job. To me that showes that he has used Leigh and that he couldnt care less about us fans or the players. Seems to be true that he has gone for the job. Hope he gets it because i would rather have someone here who wants to be here to help the club and also wants to be here for the fans.
Also, j.c i know we can't blame him for going to the Saints but when he signed this contract he knew there was a very small chance we would get in Super League. So why sign a 3 year deal?

If he wants to go let him go NOW, and terminate any worthless contract he may have with us so we can get on with recruiting NOW.
I do hope that it was not a "one way contract" in the first place however, I dont now really care.
Talk about wanting your cake and eat it?
My believe is that he has been approached by Salford to apply and McRae will go to leave the way for IM to be the main man again.'"
There are one or two exceptions but in professional sport loyalty in the main at all clubs is limited to fans.

| I want to have a team that has been put together by the coach who is in place, because I am sick and tired of hearing these players were not the current coaches choice. Also with any delay in appointing a new coach we will lose out on certain players no doubt.
Either keep it out of the press, or incur the wrath of supporters......any good coaches in the amateur game, who won't always have one eye on other coaching opportunities.

| Im a Basil fan, but if he wants to go let it be NOW,not in a couple of months time, as for a replacement,i also think Martin Crompton could do a good job,we must act fast if Basil is going,as for the MEN,i wouldnt take much notice of them.

| This needs to be sorted out soon though. A lot of young players will be attarcted to Legh to work under Millward, if there's uncertainty about who will be the coach we're going to lose them.

| Millward was only ever coming back to the UK to coach in SL. No one could expect anything different. Now Leigh have effectively been told we've no chance of getting into SL, who can blame him for moving on. Leigh's chances of getting into SL where probably exaggerated to him to get him back in the first place. He clearly didn't know we were in serious risk of relegation when he agreed to come back. Good luck to him and I hope it works out. But we need to bite the bullet, let him go and start to look for someone else. We can't afford for it to drag on, with players and potential players uncertain about who will be in charge.

He knew exactly what the state of play was here, it wasnt a secret exactly was it?
I am biting my tongue on this issue until the truth comes out, in fear of saying something I would later regret.
Time will tell

About what? Some plonker on a forum saying loyalty is mainly limited to fans, or forum/newspaper talk about the possible coming and going of coaches/players? I don’t know him well enough to answer on his behalf but I doubt any of it will be a complete shock to him.
