Despite what appeared on the official website last week, its seems Wigan are still billing this game as Leigh v Wigan U20's.

What was said on the official site?

They have made guarantees about the number of 'squad' players who will play. I know they have a large squad, but there's enough quality in there, and their U-20's/U-18's to give our boys plenty to think about.

It wouldn't be a very productive exercise to be on the wrong end of 60/70 points - and it wouldn't be too good if they did it to us, either!

Because understandably they don't want to advertise it as their first team coming, but the truth is it will be somewhere between the two.

If its being classed as an U20's game will it still count as a matched served if a 1st team player is banned?

Matt in your opinion how many fans do you think Wigan will bring with the way they are advertising it?

ive been to a few reserve matches at wigan (family loyality or something like that, plus it was free) and they have quite a few fans! Plus they get to see the chance of potential super league players that will play for wigan or another super league team, but with the rugby season getting back underway i'd imagine a few more than usual will come watch them.

I will certainly be making the trip to the LSV it's a great Rugby stadium and by the sounds of things it will be a really competitive game of rugby. Wigan are sending the Under 20's and first team player's who do not feature in our friendly against Salford so the fringe squad players. Here's hoping for a great contest next Friday.

Basically their second 17 with a few lads from under 20s. It will be competitive

That wigan squad will be cut down to 17 tonight, so them 3 will play plus gil dudson, antony gelling, jack hughes etc... So will be really good challenge for our boys
