| So first win under the belt and a stiffer test from the only team to beat us in the league last year to look forward to this week. Again would like to see us put up a strong defence, keeping full time London's score down & playing all out against them for the full 80 min will be a worthwhile thing to do & set us in good stead for the trip to Odsal the week after. We've seen Ridy & Ryan and Rangi and Ridy lets see how Ryan and Rangi get on as a half back pairing this week. I hope Bob Beswick is back, we look a far better team whenever Higham is on the pitch, Bob also has plenty of experience and should be able to lead in a similar way to Micky Higham.

Prefer Foster to get a run personally, the club have decided he is one for the future - he needs to be put out there now IMO to get some experience. Looked very promising form what I saw on Sunday

| Smith Kay higson worthington pownall rangi Ryan moi moi higham Weston Hansen Dixon Patterson subs hock Hopkins spencer Beswick. Obviously depending on fitness or cory and Bob if neither are ready bring in emmit and foster. Beswick needs the time we need him ready for odsal I like Forster and he will be a good un just a bit soon for the big games

| Fosters gone very well so far, but I too think if he’s fit Beswick needs to play in this one and probably the next few, Fosters time will come.
If it’s Riddy’s turn to sit this one out then I hope Paterson plays.

| The strongest Leigh team should be put out against the FT teams like London & Bradford + the stronger PT teams Fax, Eagles & Batley, only when playing teams not quite so strong should tinkering be done.
Rotate yes, but top 2 is priority to benefit from the extra home game in the 8's.
Personally, now that Pala has been released, I would be looking to bring back Ben Reynolds who can do a good job at 9, 6 or 7 & even cover the back line if necessary.

Ste I've said the same thing we should concentrate on finishing in the top 2 to get the better games in the 8's, our next 4 games will be difficult , but all are winnable.

| No leave Reynolds at dewsbury gaining vital experience leading a team round the park and bossing it! No point having him back here to sit in the stands "just incase" go after a proper centre

| Leaking an average of 20 points against 2 unfashionable sides is not a great start defensively.
London are no great shakes and it should be a pretty routine win really.
If at London, a different story !!

| If Worthington is fit I would go with him and Higson in the centres for Sunday over Whiting. Simply because Whiting will not have had any time to train with the rest of the players and get to know our structures etc.
Would like him to have a week to settle in before going into a match, similar to how Lee Smith missed the Batley game. However if Worthington isn't back then he probably has to go straight in as we are lacking options.

Think Smith missed the Batley game as he wasn't registered with the RFL in time to be included in the 19 man squad. I see your point however it may be better to ensure Worthington is fully fit & get Whiting some game experience against London at home rather than Bradford away. Not sure which way is best really.

| Prawn sandwich brigade for us again. Missing the North Stand, but I can say it looks mighty impressive from where our seats were last week. Hope to see you all for the Sheffield game, unless I get a taste for the prawn sandwiches of course.

| Good to see Worthington is back, bad to see Beswick isn't. Think droping Ridy & seeing how Rangi & Ryan get on is a good move by Jukes to test all his half back pairings before going to Odsal.

Highlights from London last weekend against Swinton. Their number 7 (Barthau?) and 14 (Ackers?) look quite dangerous.
I don't expect our defence to be as soft as Swinton's was for some of those tries though.

Would give Worthington another week to recover from his injury, know it's a strong team to debut Whiting in but better tomorrow than away at Odsal. Higham is also carrying a knock so I'd leave him out of the first initial phase & bring him on when the game has settled down a bit. In order to help Foster I'd play him alongside the more experienced forwards & the leaders like Patterson (who I'm very glad to see back) and Hansen.

| Thought London were very good & could make top 4, v strong defensively and asked questions in attack. Thought our try line defence was woeful. We've got one player trying to cling on to the opponent with his finger tips while other players stand by and watch, this isn't good enough & could be part of the reason we've so many injuries. Think at times in attack we look as if we're always looking to create some fantastic play which is good but we also need to have a few set moves planned and practised which we seem to be lacking. Stokes is always a bad ref but today was something else, massively inconsistent. We got badly penalised for his mistakes but we should have done better. Then that last 20 min happened! Where did that come from?! We looked a beaten team, reminded me of watching us in the Super 8s. Then all of a sudden some amazing rugby from everyone in order to absolutely steal a win! Showed what quality we have & how good we are but I'd far rather us play like that for 80min, or at least the 1st 20 rather than the last!
