My favourite is toasted white bread then marg strawberry jam peanut butter and banana.
Anybody remember having a 'slappy' from the pie shop opposite the old college building on Railway road, its a meat and prater pie on a large slapped together.
I remeber getting pasty s from the shop near the Boundary pub on Manchester Road. The pasties were that big you had to eat half of it before you got to the bread
Had a Yates and greers 'growler' for me dinner today, not had one for ages went past the shop and bang I was in.
When I was a young 'rookie' at Leigh nick in the 70's we used to have newly baked ones from the factory first thing in the morning when on earlies, no 'jelly on top though as they were too warm.
