Not sure this is confirmed, but would make sense with our players on international duty.

Not sure you could read much into his comments. He doesn't seem the type to me to get carried away with optimism or praise. I reckon James Ford's future in after-dinner speaking is limited.
Whenever I have listened to radio commentary Riley seems to have played a big part in attack. There are some decent players in the Championship so the extended run at York ought to have done Riley good. Good to see him back as you never know who is going to end up playing in that daft "England v the Rest" game on the Friday. |

I don't know the background story but I suspect the answer was they moved him because the coach had made him 3rd choice HB. No point leaving him up there.

There does seem to be a little bit of questioning around his attitude. I hope it’s just a case of immaturity and he grows up a bit and focusses on his game. He certainly seems to have the raw talent. Reminds me a bit of Paul Cooke… loads of raw talent that went to waste and never realised his potential.

You’re right, I was just making a sweeping statement putting two and two together after the earlier COVID breach and the York coach’s veiled statement.
If that was way off the mark and someone knows better then I apologise, and I’m glad it’s not the case. Hopefully he’ll get a run out here fairly soon.

Looking at the Whitehaven v Dewsbury highlights, two of Dewsbury's three tries came from long balls from Riley Dean to his right wingman. That's not a bad start as he came off the bench and will not have developed any sort of understanding with the rest of the players yet.
