Warrington Wolves Under 19s will get their play-off series underway this weekend.

The young Wolves secured a fourth place finish with their win over St Helens Under 19s last Friday night and will now face the Huddersfield Giants Academy side in the opening play-off weekend.

The Wolves U19s will host the Giants U19s at Wilderspool Stadium on Saturday 7th September, kick-off 12pm.

If you're not heading over to France to follow the first team then pop along to Wilderspool to show your support for the young Wolves coming through the ranks.

This year's Academy play-offs will see the Top 6 battle it out as follows, with this weekend's fixtures serving up knock-out Rugby League.

Entry on the day will be priced at £3 adult and £1 junior with free entry to Wolves 2013 Season Ticket Holders on production of their book.

Wont be much of a game this, half our u19's are set for the 1st team squad, shame cos they've been doing well recently too.

The lads have had a brilliant season and go into the game having won our last 8 games and 12 out of the last 13!!!

The winners will face St Helens or Hull FC next week. If it is Saints then Wolves or Huddersfield will be away, if it is Hull FC then Wolves or Huddersfield will be at home.

The Under 19s won 34-10 against Huddersfield today in an excellent game.

We now travel to St Helens next Saturday.

Annoyed that we are playing on Saturday. I would have deffo gone to cheer the Lad's on but like all other Wire fans I will be at the HJ.

Interesting game today, but I don't think the U19's played their best rugby. They were slow to start and that allowed Hudds to gain momentum early on, together with the first try. A combination of errors (from both sides) and some erratic refereeing then turned the first half into an arm wrestle. By the second half Wire started to get on top, and some nice kicking by Patton provided scoring opportunities.

Philbin scored his customary short range try buldozing through the defence. And Scott Turner claimed his customary try from an elegant high kick to the corner by Patton. Saltonstall was busy, and a constant threat to their defence, he also was rewarded with a try from a kick through.I am pleased to say that the one piece of magic came from BR Sam Wilde. He received the ball 35 ? metres out and showed some delightful footwork to sidestep the defence, then the strength to get the ball down on the line despite being tackled.

In the end Wire ran out comfortable winners as the Hudds lads ran out of steam in the last 20 min. A good result, but a fair amount of work to do before the next playoff game methinks.

I'd agree with that. Going on first half performance it could have gone either way, but in the second half I dont think Huddersfield really looked like troubling our line too many times (even with the refs help at times)

what time does it kick off v saints?

Very generous wording.

We play Saints ( who beat hull yesterday) on Sept 14th at 2.15. The other match is Wigan v Leeds.

Whilst there was some odd calls for both sides the ref did seem to penalise us heavily in the first half especially despite some 'robust' play from Hudd's. Really enjoyed the game thought the lads were a bit quick to get involved in rough stuff Learmouth and Bennion were especially 'targeted by Hudd's? Nothing wrong in that really but my impression is that we will have to be a bit smarter v Saints.

Thought all the lads showed promise highly recommended viewing if anyone needs an RL fix
