Chris Riley and Joel Monaghan have both had their critics. Last season Joel was panned on occasions for his apparent lack of pace, whilst this season Chris has been under fire for his early season defensive errors.
Yes, both have got their faults, but one thing that no-one can complain about is that they are both tremendous finishers. Chris averages a try every 1.5 games, whilst Joel has scored more tries than he's played games. My opinion is that we are extremely lucky to have two fantastic finishers and there aren't too many wingers I would swap them for. Any other thoughts?

Taken as a pair, I wouldn't swap our two for any other pair in SL.

I'm happy with our wingers after a slowish start (IMO don't start shouting or throwing Stats at me) I think Monaghan has been great especially over the last 10 calender months.

Never doubted Riley.

Both great finishers, I just think Riley isn't big enough. Yeah he's got Ryan inside him to help him but when he's faced with a one on one I'm not sure he could take the opposing player down.

Jonas Brothers weren't in High School Musical. They had their own even worse Disney show that thankfully failed miserably, leaving the teen girl music market wide open to the immense talent of Justin Bieber. Wonder if he's too small to play on the wing?

Henry blinking Far'wotsit, Horatio, you must be joking. He was playing outside Gleeson in his pomp. My mum could have scored tries playing outside Gleeson. He was a very lucky man and absolutely useless in defence.

Bit harsh, Was a good finisher and good in the air aswell.

Joel Monaghan is ridiculously slow for a winger in the top squad in the league, but by heck, he can score a try.

ANY winger in Super League would have scored from that Caro opportunity.

You don't get anywhere near a kangaroo jersey by being anything other than a class above in your position.

Joels tries v appearances (and tries v chances) ratio speaks for itself. Williams is probably twice as fast but he wouldn't have scored a fraction of the tries Joel has.

If Joel had more pace he'd be frightening. He has impeccable timing and he reads play quicker than almost any winger I've seen. Before the ball is in Lee's hands he'll make his run, by the time it's in Joel's hands he'll be mid-dive over the line. Like his brother, he out thinks opponents, his strength does the rest and his hands are so safe, he makes really hard things look so easy it's easy to overlook him.

I remember watching Joel for the raiders quite a few years before he arrived here (around when he was playing Origin/Aus), he looked a lot quicker then than he did when he came here, he was at centre then as well. Has he had any bad knee injuries?

I'd take Hall and Charnley as my best wingers in the current comp.

Charnley better than Monas?! Blasphemy, he's barely better than Riley.

He trashed his knee during his spell at the Roosters, pretty sure he was out for about a year.

Charnley is a good winger with speed over Monas but that doesn't make up for Joel's finishing nous. I agree that Charnley is a similar player to Riley, but bigger. Again, I think that Riley is the better finisher but Charnley has the edge on defence.

Also bear in mind Charnley is three years younger than Riley and nine years younger than Monaghan. I know who I'd sooner have in my team, the one who even at such a young age has already topped the try scoring charts.

Wonder if this so called world beater will hang around once Tomkins departs ***At the end of this season *** or will he move on to one on the big money clubs like Salford
