Hiya Folks ,

Coming down to the HJ Stadium Next Sunday to (hopefully) watch my Team The Cougars win the Championship One Grand Final .

Have never been to the new Warrington Ground and just looking for some info about the best places to go for pre and post match drinkies . Are there bars in the ground ? What are the places to avoid ? Anywhere that does some decent real ale ?

Likley to be either in the west stand terrace or C block of the North stand ,havent decided yet .

Any info mucho appreciated

If I was you I would go for the North Stand especially if you intend to stay for the following game.

As for real ale try The Albion, its not too far from teh ground, does decent food and plenty of guest ales. Sounds exactly what you are looking for.

Have look at the visitors guide at the top of the page...

One thing you won't be short of is pubs as there is

The Lord Rodney,Red Lion,Railway club,Orginal Wire,Kings Head and the Hawthorne all within close proximity of the ground...

There is also a Wetherspoons in the town centre for your real ale about 10-15 mins walk..

By the way I dont know if anyone who runs 'down to the wire ' visits here but I did try and access the visitors guide before posting but it is showing up as a 'reported attack site ' through Firefox with access blocked ...

Don't go to Wetherspoons if you're looking for good ale.

As Narvo said, The Albion is the best. Sunday lunch is a fiver and home made.

Is there a bar in the ground near West stand?
does it serve bitter?
how much a pint?

There is something described as bitter. £3 a pint. I wouldn't.

The Tavern, a 10-15 minute walk from the station/ground....plenty of real ale/whisky/Fax fans.
