Morley hit Sherwin in the back of the head off the ball and should have seen red for it, anything below 2 matches is a joke (in the NRL he would have got 5+) '"
Had Sherwin kicked the ball as Morley and just about everyone else watching expected, then the hit would have been across Sherwins chest. Morley was commited to pressurising the kicker and the different 'body shape' after the pass made the incident look far far worse than it was. However, this early in the season I would expect Moz to have a Saturday night off next week.

| I though Sherwin ducked slightly into Morleys charge and started to turn his back. Morley did swing but the intent was more to pressure the kicker than hit him with a cheap shot. I thought a penalty was the correct decision.
Carvells could go either way. Leading with the forearm normally goes un-noticed until an injury is caused, as in the case tonight. Certainly was not a deliberate attack but can see him getting a 1 match ban.
I feel we would be unlucky if both players get banned for the Wigan game.
If Carvell does get banned I would like to see Morley and Wood start with a bench comprising of Cooper and Solomona + 2 others. Would also give the option of switching Benny ( or Harrison ) to prop and allow Solomona to have a forage down the centre channels.

Would you say that if it had been ryan mcgoldrick high tackling or using the fore arm on one of your players.
You'd be calling for a 10 match ban .

| For me McGoldrickis one of the worse nigglers in the game. He usually comes up with a couple of cheap shots in every game I have seen him play. A bit like Wilkin without the brains.

| McGoldrick is a nasty piece of work, but for some reason he really steps it up against Warrington and consistently acts like a petulant little . There must be some back story to it and I'd love to know what it is.

It makes no difference whether they were put on report or not. The RFL can still bring a charge against them.
Riley got a warning letter kast week for something that wasn't seen by any of the officials at the time.

he got a warning letter but Morley and Carvell can still be charged IF the RFL disciplinary deem it necessary.
Ryan Esders from Harlequins got a 1 game ban (admittedly squashed on appeal) for an incident that wasn't put on report. www.therfl.co.uk/about/disciplin ... hp?id=1559

Personally i couldn`t see a great deal of difference between the mistimed tackle from Adrian Morley tonight and the one where he flattened Robbie Kearns after just 15 secs in the game between GB and Australia where he was sent off, both were very similar, their was deffo no malice in his tackle tonight, it was just mistimed and when Moz gets it wrong the outcome won`t be pretty due to his 100% committment lol

TBF the one where he got sent off was high and reckless. The one tonight, bearing in mind I was at the game and have only seen 1 replay was him not backing out of the challenge. It doesn't make it legal, it was definitely a penalty but I think a ban will be harsh. I don't recall the Carvell one and will have to watch back in the morning.

| I think Morley's great recent disciplinary record will work well in his favour.
Think he'll get a fine TBH - bit lazy but nothing malicious.

There's an arguement for and against Morley depending which team you follow. As for Carvell nailed on ban, Remi Casty's tackle on Paul Johnston last week was no where near as bad and he copped a 1 match ban.
