Truw, but the problem that Sky had was that they had recieved complaints over the comments. If they fail to take any action then SKY will actually be breaking the law. After investigating and reviewing the position SKY deemed it necessary to take the action they took. Like everything, a law will be brought in with the best of intentions but if it is badly drafted then the "innocent banter and chitchat" gets labelled with the same legislation as pure bigotary and sexism etc.

People keep going on about Loose Women on ITV and their anti male comments. If ITV received a genuine complaint over the comments they would have to take some form of action just like SKY HAD to.

I'm not doubting your highlighted sentiments mikej, but DID someone actually complain, or, as Keys put it, are there dark forces at work to get rid of them, and the scenes were smuggled out to the general public, so everyone could be appalled.

As to your last comment, mikej, like I said in my text, people need to grow a pair, and stop getting upset over nowt.

What its got to do with anyone else, is that of anyone else complains that the comments are offensive, there is a LEGAL requirement for action to be taken.

The Equality Act which came into force at the end of last year. Basically if an organisation is made aware of sexist, racist, homephobic etc comments being made within their "are of control", they must investigate and take whatever action is ncessary. If they fail to take action they can be fine.

Nah. Just somebody that sees this kind of thing in workplaces week in, week out. Who would be more suitable than someone who has played at the top of the game for the last 16 years winning all there is to win.

I'm not a big fan of Neville as a person but it's clear he loves the game and. When he was a pundit on ITV a few years back I thought he was OK. He spoke well, made a lot of sense and talked about the games as he saw them, not with the tired old cliché most pundit use.

The only thing he's got going against him is his pro United stance won't go down at all with the ABU nation.

Can you imagine his punditry when ever City or Liverpool are ever broadcast. It doesn't bear thinking about. It certainly wont be objective

He is, but in the past when he has done punditry on TV, he's been OK. The only thing he needs to sort out is any bias for United and against City or Liverpool. He is very much a professional in all that he has achieved in his career so far, so it wouldn't surprise me if he carried this on in whatever he does now he is retired.

I don't doubt his ability to converse, bob. He always sounds very articulate when being interviewed, but as for his partiality, NO CHANCE. His HATRED (cos that's what it is) for City and Liverpool is well known, as well as his obvious solidarity to your club, he won't be taken seriously. Unless they put him on when those 3 clubs aren't involved, but I can't see it.

Ryan Giggs would be a lot better than Gary Neville. He's a lot more professional in his approach and he's only one of two Manchester United players that I do have plenty of respect for in the way that they conduct themselves on the field and off the field. The other one is Paul Scholes.

Giggs who's got form for hitting women? I can't stand Neville but I'd have him on before RG. Paul Scholes has always come across as a decent bloke but doesn't exactly exude charisma.

Are you referring to a one off alleged incident that was never proven or even reported to by the police by a woman who has hardly covered herself in glory over the years.
