Free coaches?!!!

FFS - it's in Widnes.

I've heard it all now.

On the basis I get a ticket I'll be catching the train from Euston (because it's a Sunday it seems to take 45 minutes longer so 2.5 hours each way) and will then get from WBQ to Widnes.

So if I can get from London to Widnes with about 6 hours of travelling time I'm sure you can all manage somehow without free coaches.

For the final or semi?

We're in a semi final in a game we'll be overwhelming favourites to win. We have the chance for back to back Wembley appearances for only the second time in an eternity. And the game (which won't sell out, no matter what Wires on the Telly says) is in August.

I reckon that's worth putting away £6.50 a week for 4 weeks for.

Why are people bothered about free coaches. The club doesn't normally run coaches to Widnes anyway & i can't remember them running them last year to be honest.

As another poster said, it's only 7 miles & the train station is near with the journey taking what 6mins?

if so called fans can't be bothered going because there are no free coaches, they don't deserve to support the team!

Free coaches to Widnes? Crikey, as Ian said, we're 80 mins away from a double wembley appearance, a chance to defend a trophy that we only won last year for the first time since 1974.

Hell, I'd walk to Widnes just to see Wire in the CC Semi Final again.

ill just be taking the train there like last year but wont bother paying this time haha was a great scene with all the wire fans at central station pilling on the train. I remember talkin to some guy in a shirt and tie going the game and saying are you going the match or off to a buisness meeting, he was not impressed

I suppose it depends what's been posted. I think if you really lay into someone with personal abuse you are liable to be confronted at some point if they identify you. If it's light hearted banter then ok but what one see's as banter to another is abuse. Everyone is different.

Well if i can fly from Gibraltar to watch the Semi final I'm sure many of you can travel the short distance from your homes to cheer the boys on, Its an awesome feeling being back at Widnes in a Semi Final so stop complaining and get behind the team, If Mr Moran puts on Free buses that's very nice of him if he doesn't then get your money in your pockets and use public transport or put a fiver in the petrol tank and drive. Many people moan about Warrington being a nearly team well last season proved we can win something and to get back and defend the Challenge cup would be a great achievement don't you all think ?

True - but it would have to be pretty bad to 'entitle' someone to become aggressive. A sensible compromise would be for that person to have a grown up conversation - if its silly PMs making threats of violence and/or legal action, or being pushy in people's face then that's too far.*
