Of course it was an accident. Bridge slipped and was simply using his forearm to break his fall.

From what I can see, it's quite obvious that Bridge got a little carried away, he owned Jeffries with a good tackle, put him in his back and gave it a little extra when he dropped back down on him, just like we've seen with Anderson v tickle, Morley v Gutenbeil. He shouldn't have it but it was not a bad one.

Bridge needs to concentrate on his rugby instead of constantly trying to be the hardman.

He is becoming a liability discipline wise and with people like Rhys Evans breathing down his neck he could quite easily find himself on the fringes.

Chris needs to make sure he uses his aggression in the right way, be hard but fair. He is in danger of becoming a cheap shot merchant like that cart from Leeds, although to be fair at least Chris didnt go hiding after the event and took the ball up hard in one of the next plays.

It takes a bigger man to exert control when faced with cheap shots.

Don't they normally say when adjudging foul play, high tackles, look at u'd hand, has he balled the fist for maximum impact, bridge didn't on this. He had am open hand. Though it wouldn@ surprise me if he got 1 match

Having watched it back to me its clear that Bridge drops on a player who isn't tackled, does not use his elbow and hits below the shoulder.

What is the actual offence of which he is accused?

Still not seen this game yet, soon as i have it uploaded i can comment but what I've noticed is almost unanimous opinion that Bridge should have either walked or should be banned.

Bit different from other clubs and their blind loyalty or their Wenger didn't see it attitude.

He was hardly gonna say he meant to smash Jeffries in the face was he!

Probably a warning, maybe one match.

It's the angry facial expression as he "flops" on Jeffries that makes it look like he was looking to do harm. I think that was down to the fact that he got a swift one two in the danglies as he tackled Jeffries
