| Quote ="lefty goldblatt"2 points. Well done.
Brace yourselves. MAJOR rant coming up.
I can't believe my frustration since 5 o'clock.
Ryan Bailey is just the World's biggest tool. I wouldn't mind, he's a good prop, but a walking bell end. We start conceding points, and he starts losing what brain cells he's got, and gifts Cats territory/possessionn/momentum, just so he can stamp his "authority" on the game.
Tony Smith is the World's stubbornist man. We've seen what an out and out winger brings to our team. But no. In the last 2 or 3 months, we play a centre and a full back, on the wings. Play Penny,
Our team, in the last 2 games, have let a 10 point lead in a cup final, and an 18 point lead, go in the blink of an eyelid. If we want success in October, we're gonna have to grow some testicles.
Still bored with our lack of passing, and dependance on dummy half runs. Tiresome.
Stephenson's PATHETIC co-commentary "role". FFS, he's supposed to be impartial. He might as well shouted I WANT WARRINGTON TO LOSE every 10 seconds. The deflation in his voice when Currie went over, couldn't have been more evident. Squeeky Ben Proe wasn't much better, either.
Umpteen brain farts by Sims. Come on, son. There's a time and place for continuous offloading. Not after 2 have been disasters.
My feed on the dodgy stick was poorish
Plus points.
Penny's reintroduction, and the reappearance of the youngsters. They did more than their bit.'"
You don't think winning a game like that is us having testicles? They had a week off last week, we played in the toughest game this year has seen, yet we won it with a try at the end.
Big wraps from me.
Not pretty, but sometimes you need to win like that on your way to a title.

| Well done on the win, although you did make it hard for yourselves having built a good half-time lead. Pleased for Currie as it will go some way to compensating for Wembley. As an aside, what on earth was Tony Smith thinking about to bring Bailey to your club. Looking forward to your visit to the KCom.

I [ireally[/i hope that Penny's almost game-costing error doesn't stick in Smith's memory banks. I'm worried that both this and a few weaker tackle efforts (one where Cats went over) are justification enough for him to be dropped again.

Agreed I think Toby King really stood up tonight and some of the young Fringe players looked like they want to be in the frame for the run in. Without the johnsons ball strip we lost that game comfortably. Enjoyed that game but my fingernails probably didn't.

| To be fair, Sims got a good pass out to Toby King that could have brought a try, but it was ruled forward although it didn't look any worse than Cats had been getting away with all game. The youngsters & our new winger made a big contribution today i thought ,which must have been difficult with the short defensive line Cats were getting away with at every ptb.
I don't watch on sky very often but that cretin Stevo sounds more & more like an elderly relative you wouldn't want your friends to meet. He just gushes absolute rubbish. He was devasted when the Myler try wasn't given despite finding reasons to include so much as a broken finger nail to validate a try.

| Forgot about Cox, biscuit.
As I said in May, re Cox. The new Danny Lima. Runs the ball in once, then spends the next 10 minutes with his hands on his knees, knackered. Wage theif.

A time for it too. Element of structure and surprise over predictable but hazardous.
What's his bust or break a line stat?

| THAT try! Ratchford showing real leadership. I know traditionally props aren't supposed to need a brain but a couple of ours could have starred in The Wizard of Oz...Sims as the Tin man and Bailey as his understudy. But the main thing was the team showed character.
I have no issue with most of the penalties against us, but weren't Catalan doing the same things without punishment? AND does the ref mike have to be turned up quite so much?!

How can it be a drop in performance from Cox when he has never performed for us? He has to be the worst prop in SL.

They don't mention Wigan bringing in a player like Frank-Paul Nuuausala, or that they can cope with injuries due to the strong youth system.
Didn't put over us having numbers 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 13, 14, 15, and 17 out, as well as squad players that are injured or have left.
When they did make an attempt to mention the missing, they kept missing out players including a big one in Clark.
Think they mentioned Catalan missing Carney and Taylor more.

I'm not that surprised, we could of had all the U19 squad playing and our missing first team squad would not get a mention, as I said we are not Wigan.

Sims has done ok stats wise this season - 4th in squad for tackles, 5th for metres and top for offloads. Interestingly prior to today he'd only given away 9 penalties. Hill has given away 25.........liability that bloke........

This is just a hunch, but do you think it's possible that Sims has been asked to play like that, in order for us to jump up for a quick play the ball, to make use of our dummy half running...?

I have never said he shouldn't be in the team,he definitely should be.
He may well offload the most but the majority of them result in us losing possession.

If you say the majority of his offloads result in us losing possession, presumably that means 29 or more. How many is it? Presumably you've done the analysis to back up your statement. I'm sure it's not just a hunch.

| Well as Neil Fairbrother tweeted tonight, that was a ballsy performance by the youngsters. We certainly looked a bit knackered from last week but a fresh pair of legs from Patton made a huge difference at the right time. I have to hold my hand up and say I was expecting a defeat by 20 or so points, so that was a very pleasant surprise. Plenty of errors from us, but hardly surprising in that heat and after the Wembley final.
I thought King had a good game, some sloppy tackling by Cats, but the best part of the break that he made (for me) was the maturity to look around and find the runner backing up (Patton). And again from the move started by Ratchford in our 20m, he took an offload from Ratchford and sent a spiralling pass out to Patton for our third try. He still wants too much time on the ball ( than he is going to be allowed) at this level, but surely he will be a real handful next year. I thought Morgan Smith ( turned 18 in April) looked promising as well with some strong tackling, although he was caught flat footed for one of their tries.
Having said all that, Les Cats were absolutely shocking in the first half and looked totally clueless attacking our line - I don't know why I was worried about some of our smaller players in defence. All in all, a good day at the office.

| Agree about King and fully justifying Tony Smith's decision to include him a few weeks ago despite some doubts on here. 9 players from the Academy in the 17 surely our best for a long time.
