I understand Leigh have asked for the terrace that runs down the side - which stand is that? Expecting 5000 to travel over after 2500 making the trip to Wakefield and the huge buzz around the place. Great draw for Wire and a huge test for us.

As a rule away fans area allocated the Dallam Lane West? Stand.
But you can stand or sit wherever you like.
No chance will the South stand be allocated for Leigh.
You wouldn't fill it above half anyways.

No Maurice, the South holds around 5,200 now that one corner has been filled in. You will be in the West which holds 3,200, but if you really do bring 5k I guess some will be in the North (seating) and others in sections of the East (also seating). I would be surprised if they released blocks of South stand tickets.

We almost filled the west stand in 2005 in a 'not so convincing ' wire win. If the capacity is 3200, we will fill it! This game is as local as Wigan. Looking forward to it!

Leigh will bring one of, if not the biggest away followings to ever grace the HJ. They will also at the very least push us close. We've no reason to be cocky. Will be a cracking game and atmosphere and I for one am worried.

Logic would suggest an easy win for Wire.
But this is the cup and anything can happen.
Leigh have shown they are resilient and they have some very good players - Beswick is a very very good player and the halves are more than useful.

It's the tie I wanted as my logic is that it should be easier.
I still think Wire will win but I for one won't be thinking of the semi's until our result is in.

We are at home against a local team that are enjoying a bit of media attention having scalped a couple of SL teams in this year of potential promotion. Leigh seem to play a decent brand of RL throwing it about whilst not afraid for a bot of niggle. Then there's the 'Mickey Higham' situation to add a bit of spice.

They will bring a large noisy following, the place should be rocking, it' s got all the ingredients, I can't wait and hope that we, the team and fans are up for it...Crowd prediction 6,392 all from Leigh

It should be a spicy affair and surely will attract a big crowd ? Previous years cc matches against Championship sides have not left fans with a great deal of enthusiasm for the spectacle, but as you say this has a bit of everything; it's a local derby, SL v Championship, Maurice and Charlie streaking during the interval, families torn apart by loyalties, coal miners v wire makers, revenge for stealing Hilly. I don't doubt it will be on TV and watched by millions, they will probably make a film about it - one of those gritty northern epics like Kess, or Braveheart with helicopter shots of the crowds outside the HJ gates, locked out from a jam packed ground. Leigh fans will tell their kids about the day they had to walk to the match because the roads were completely blocked. ...............................and Roy Asotasi will play two whole twenty minute sessions, scoring a hat trick in each, to be carried off on the shoulders of grateful Wire fans who always knew he would come good in the end.

I think that is where Wire are missing out. We need a car park so that fans can load up the picnic basket and enjoy a refreshing spot of bubbly in the car park before the match. I will send the idea on to Roger.
