Hicks has been great player for us and I wish him all the best I hope we get a chance to give him a proper send off.
Smith obviously thought the chance to sign Monaghan was to good an opportunity to miss and I am sure Hicks got a nice paypacket out of the deal as well.
Just hope Mr Monaghan can deal with the banter.

I hope Chris did reconsider his retirement and chose to leave rather than being made to leave. Maybe he has had enough of the freezing cold and has decided home is best!

He has definitely made his mark at Warrington and I hope that we will get the opportunity to give him a send off.

Just got in from work and was going to mention the above try against Wigan at Widnes in 2009. I was sat in row three and he ran right in front of me as he was heading for the try line. I will never forget the look of excitement & enjoyment on his face. Well done Chris and all the best to you & your family.

I wonder what suddenly and quite conveniently convinced Hicks that it was a good time to retire?

My abiding memory of Chris Hicks is his excitement at the end of the final against Huddersfield jumping about like a mad man.Quality on the field and I am led to believe a good guy off it as well.

Going to miss Hicks as he was a brilliant player for us, his try scoring record alone was immense. But on the other hand players move on/retire and if the opportunity for a class replacement becomes available then maybe that was an opportunity TS couldnt pass up. Superb guy though and quality player, and that hat-trick at wembley will live on in every wire fan's memory. Sir we salute you.

Really shocked when I first read this news. Chris has given so many great memories, not many would score the tries he has scored for us. Served us well in the goal kicking Dep't as well.

Just hope he can come over sometime in the new season for the fans to give him a good send off.
