If that is the level of male cow poo discussed at these meetings, I don`t think I will have a pint with Daryl after all.

I use to go these meetings, and then I stopped enough said.

The one line I will take away from those notes is the bit about 'some players are more open to critique than others'. That sounds like Daryl is hinting that he has identified some flaws and challenged certain players to do something about it, something which seems to have rattled them. I'll back Daryl on that one, since he does have a real record of improving teams and individuals.

Before this season I was in the camp of 'tweaking' things to get the best out of the squad, but if some don't want to be tweaked a little then I'm all for the 'total overhaul' approach.

Players given letters for the decision or undecided made on them, are they actually serious?. I hope they actually have a sit down talk first and the letter is afterwards, if not that is very cold.

Might be something that Karl has brought from his America trips on how they cut players.

Looks like the Fans Forum ignored most of the questions tweeted to them. Even the ones not related to on field but the off field situation of the stadium being absolutely dirty, rusty, and paint is peeling.

We have for the stadium the following - Operations Manager, Operations Assistant, Head of Grounds, Assistant Groundskeeper, Ground Safety Officer can 1 of them organise maintenance or do we need to do a clear out there too?.

I asked a question on Twitter that I already know the answer to, but it wasn't addressed (quelle surprise). I just wanted to see if it would be asked. This leaves me thinking it was a poor attempt in appeasing the fan base via rehed answers to the 'right questions.' A PR exercise that achieved nothing. Quite Roger Draper esque.

Ok if it’s SL protocol but surely they have meetings first. This makes it sound like letters are posted, or handed out at training and that’s it.

I was amazed at that too, that looks to have been badly explained in the article.

i dont see what the problem is, if you get a letter saying we're unsure, that to me if i was a professional sports person is the same as saying we're not retaining you and would tell my agent to start talking to other clubs, which btw he should have already been doing anyway.

The club can't really win with these fans meetings. Fans will always want more honesty but some stuff needs to stay behind closed doors and if they spilled all the beans it would probably antagonise the dressing room further and also create the impression that the club was a chaotic mess, and just give easy copy to journalists to write stories stirring the pot.

I think the stuff that was written up in that note sounds reasonable.

There is absolutely no point in having a meeting where questions are pre-selected by the club.

Totally agree. Should be a respectful but open and honest forum. I’m sure Daryl would be fine with that, my great friend the superstar KissKamKarl maybe not so much?

But screening questions out from the meeting is more akin to North Korea or Peoples Republic of China than a provincial RL club Q&A.

If a sensitive question is asked the answer can be "Sorry, that's an area I cannot discuss at the moment, rest assured the matter is in hand and updates will be provided in due course".

That's much better than silencing the question, surely. Especially as it was initially labelled as a "sit down with the fans in the pub".

My biggest gripe is with the lack of serious sports journalism at the Warrington Guardian. Matt Turner is seemingly terrified of asking difficult questions. He could have been all over this season's events holding the clubs leadership to account.

Tony Smith used to attend the Fan`s Forums in his early years at Wire without anyone from the club`s hierarchy in attendance.

Usually, he had just one senior and one junior player with him.

I would only want to converse with and hear Daryl`s thoughts, answers and aspirations.

Paul2812 has close contacts with the club. I can only imagine he posted a pertinent question. I doubt the club are going to say they vetted questions.

Lot's of people work on fixed term contracts and often don't have any heads up until a few days before the contract end. If this has upset their delicate sensibilities then professional sport is not for them. It would almost be more understandable if they were highly tuned virtuosos, but they aint.

The questions weren't checked before hand i can tell you that as i was there and we were free to ask anything we liked.

There were a lot of questions that didn't get asked on the night as we ran out of time unfortunately.....
