This game should be played at the start or end of season if at all. With so many players from our club, and competitive nature of this game, i
really fear for the well being of our players and feel it's entertainment at our expense. They should at least limit the number of england players
to 3 like the exiles.This game would have been great during the era of wigan or saints' dominance but not now. I really don't care for the result,
just that all our players remain fit.

That looks worrying if this was the real squad we had going out.

I can't see Myler playing for England either, Clarke to 9 Richie to 7.

I would expect Atkins, Myler and Carvell to not play in the Exiles game

Mick Monas at interchange hooker for the exiles should be fine to back up, Louis not selected, Carvell and Atkins not to play.
Morley + Hodgson rested for Salford, Westwood and King to back up.

Exiles game should either be a midweek game (as are the SOO games) or it should have been played last Friday with all the weekend SL games being played on Bank Holiday Monday. The Exiles game is likely to be far more intense than a game against France or Wales and to then expect a team to then have to double up 5, 6 or 7 players, especially against a team unaffected is ridiculous.

The timing of this game is stupid really for teams really contending for top and play offs,

Yeah its shame on out hopes if nearly all our bet players are out/or not fit.

We have never won super league and for me its No.1 especially with TS is charge and the squad being as good as we are at the minute.

We have done really well getting where we are,im not taking anything for granted though.

I've been thinking about this SLIM. When we play on a Sunday what do the players do on a Tuesday? Do they go and have a massage and Jacuzzi? Or do they have a full on training session. I'm not suggesting that the Salford game will be a training session, but I do think too much has been made of 'doubling up'. Looking around the sporting world you would be hard pressed to find better athletes than professional RL players. With clever use of the interchange, I don't see much of a problem.

Agree with most of that Yed, but why can't Bridge play both games? I've never understood 'resting' any of the backs.

how many missed last year when we played HKR on the friday night and couldnt double up and imo a much sterner test than salford would pose

String don't go like that that though, when he did his achilles it was just a random thing. The kind of injuries he has had have happened in the most innocuous circumstances. In fact I'm not sure I can recall any recent injuries we have had that have been down to a player not being rested.

Suprised Tony Smith hasn't worked his magic and re-arranged the game for say the Monday night to get a little bit extra re-couperation time in. The next league game isn't till the following Sunday anyway at Hull KR

I think the effect won't be felt against Salford but the week after against Hull KR or against Saints on the Friday after. Fatigue takes it's toll longer down the line rather than 2 days later.

Think and hope you might be spot on with that Yed. Noticed in the Guardian that Mitchell and McCarthy are now on week to week loans and can be recalled after this weekend. Full back might be a problem without Hodgy and Bridge but apart from that we should have a pretty strong squad for Salford.

Overall i think it's ridiculous we are even in this position. The RFL should just have an international break like they do in football. Top spot could be decided because of this. Same for Wigan and Saints too
