Surprised by that, il still be surprised if he is in the 17. I just thought it would be to soon, glad to see Atkins is back in contention already.

| In the same fixture last year we won 22-20.
Here is the team that day
Warrington: Ratchford; Evans, Livett, Atkins, Lineham; Patton, Gidley; Hill, Dwyer, Sims, Jullien, Hughes, Westerman.
Replacements: Philbin, Brown, G King, Savelio.
We are much more potent in the backs and forwards now.

| I know i will get some derision on here, but i would persist with King in the centres. He was as solid as a rock on Saturday, slipped a nice pass away to get Brown in at the corner. I honestly would think Ryan Atkins would go better in the second row in the twilight of his career. He is big enough and quick enough(still) to create a little havoc.

I'm into this idea of getting one or two of our backs playing second row. We are relatively short of forwards and the game of the modern day second row is so similar.

I'm all for RA to go into the back row to extend his career also... but not now or the reverse of what you say will happen...we'd end up being another forward short!
He's still a back and so is his physic.
That is something that will have to develop through close season or only if we are forced into moving him.

We’ll be a bit different from that day too! Grix in for Jowitt at FB...Lyne and Tupou in the centres instead of MCB and Gibson...Randell at hooker instead of Wood...Ashurst in the second row...Hampshire, Pauli Pauli and Horo new additions...Arona is out for us who’ll be a big miss but apart from that I think we’re a fair bit stronger than last year too!
Looking forward to it, should be a cracking game! Great as a Wakey fan to be looking at fixtures like this believing we can win rather than keeping it under 40...it’s not that long since the 80 point debacle...

How many would like a day like that again. Some use to moan about blow out scores, well it’s better than what we doing now.

Sorry karetaker, I disagree. Apart from a couple of exceptions, I much prefer a closer game and decent rugby from two competitive teams rather than a procession of tries even for us

| The problem with blowing teams away is that we then seem to struggle in the important games, where we have to patiently grind out a win in a war of attrition. Like a grand final.
Hopefully this new philosophy of Price’s (if we get to the GF again under his reign) will be able to see us psychologically hang in there should we not be in front going in to the last quarter.
I hope we get to put that philosophy into practice in the next three years.

i still would have liked us to play a lower team and put a kicking on them for team spirit and allow them to try as much in attack.

An unusual game.
Chris Riley at fullback, Gareth O’Brien in the halves...
...but who was a surprise line-up in the second row that day?

| I think its fair to say he'll be.....questionable....for both sides, there's a measure of comfort in that thought..
Are there odds for a win for either side by dubious decision, or are we expecting a collection on the bounce to sort it out

I doubt it. Behaving like a cockend really has become a habit for a lot of people on here, I am surprised anyone sensible and even gives the impression of enjoying rugby still posts.

| I was hoping we’d get to see at least one length of the field try this season and that was a well deserved one. I’ve been a critic of Lineham at times but look at his stats and he’s a proven finisher, just like Charnley.
