Over 20 games there's no doubting that Wire and Wigan have clearly been the stand-out sides, so Rogues's analysis looks right. Each team has succumbed to 'shock' results, however, and Hudds, Saints, Leeds, Cats are all capable of a big game on their day, so the path to glory is by no means clear.

Huddersfield pretty much have to win next week for them to finish in the top 2 (And let's face it, the GF winner historically comes from a team finishing 1 or 2). Will this additional pressure help or hinder them?

true..we beat hudds and we should be 1st or 2nd..it will be a big ask for saints or hudds to catch us,,with out brough they seem a bit lost,but they are well coached so this shud be another belter at the H & J.wire by 8

Wigan should go top Wednesday , but there's been a fair few shocks so far this season and i think there will more to come before the end of the season.

Tbh i can't see Wigan dropping too many points, possibly away to Hull and away to us. But we have Huddersfield, Catalans, Wigan, Hull.

To be honest i think the important thing in the top 8 format is to finish in the top 2, however the league leaders shield is just reward fopr the side who is mosts consistant throughout the season.

IMO the 'Make or Break' game is the cup game. The two free weekends that the loser will get will be invaluable come the last few games.

I think the CC will play a big part in who comes top of the league.

If you beat Wigan in the QF you are favourites to win the cup. That means you will have played two more games than Wigan and guess who you play the week after Wembley, yes Wigan. I can't see you beating them the week after a cup final when they have had a good rest up.

The opposite also applies, if Wigan win in the cup you are odds on for the league.

Not true. If Wire get to the CC final they will only have played one more game than Wigan, if Wigan get there they will have played three more games than Wire.

We need to pray that it does not rain or else we could be in for a mauling by the Giants.

You may not have noticed but it rained heavily for the whole 80 minutes against St Helens. Win against Huddersfield, we're 4 ahead with 6 to play, lose against Huddersfield we're still ahead of them with a massive points difference. Every game from now on is of equal importance.
