Sending out two of our youngsters out on loan to a rival club, who are in a similarly poor position in the league, was perhaps, not the club's shrewdest move. In fact, I'd go as far to say it's bloody stupid, judging our current form/games in a short turnaround.

Why? A few that went past us we're clearly forward. You can't defend forward passes. Our heads were bound to go down towards the end but that's what happens when the dice go against you. Just need to get our heads down and things should start to turn round. We've not become a bad team overnight. Just need to tighten our defence up, then we can concentrate on our attacking play. No we've become a bad team over the past 3/4 seasons and no amount bad luck can account for the past 3 games. In fact we've been lucky this season that we're not worse off than we are. Fair play to your optimism but it's bordering on insanity

I think for the Cas game we should just forget defence,just like yesterday, & go all out for the jugular with "in yer face" rugby, on the front foot all game & risk putting 50 or more on Cas. We don't have a lot to lose in 10th.

I just watched the "highlights" and I am firm in my opinion that those players were intentionally missing tackles, allowing players to break free from tackles and allowing offloads, they were just trying to make it look like they weren't (and doing a poor job of it).

you could put either Penny or Prell in place over Russell and even if they scored 3 hat tricks and made 500 try saving tackles... Smith would still put Russell straight back in the team.

Smith is the coach who won those challenge cups but it does appear Agar has quite the operation going on and Smith is much a bystander. Poching was referred to as nothing more than someone to put the cones out, but we seem to have lost something either when he came in or Agar went out.

I remember on here his appointment was met with a luke warm response at best. It could be he is blameless in all of this and is diligently going about his job well on the training field. But when you see the current skills level (passing and catching) it doesn't help his cause.
