Saints/Wigan 18,000
Wakey/Bradford 8,000
Quins/Salford 3000
Works out at about the same as a normal round.

Yes Wigan home attendance (including season ticket holders/away fans/ etc) but I'm considering all the 'away' fans teams take. For example we may take 4,000 to Wigan but to Bradford, 500.
Factor in the ' [uCredit Crunch[/u and the [uAporkalypse[/u and its respectable.
Shame its not full to the brim but when was the last time we got 135600 people to a round of games, or even the 67800 the ground accommodates

| A ppor attendance - there should be at least 40000 a day - perhaps we should consider who is benefitting out of all of this
certainly not the teams - only the RFL benefit if they expand theie empire
Why should clubs have to travel another 180 miles to play a team in Scotland with little or no support
In spite of all the effort RL in London (professionally) hasnt taken off
Time to expand in RL country and keep it local

| I wonder if the RFL have considered playing these matches at a stadium which holds nearer 40k fans than 60K + it didn't look too go on tv when you saw all the empty seats.
With the smaller stadium you'd create a much better atmosphere all round and it'd look better on TV.

| I can't honestly see how anything positive can come out of this 'Magic' nonsense.
Playing glorified exhibition matches in front of three quarter empty stadiums does absolutely nothing for the game's image, which is what this stunt is apparently all about.
The scary thing is that if Lindsay & co had their way back in the mid 90's, when they first dreamed of Super League, and all the foolish 'regional' sides, then this is how the game would have become like.....Matches played in empty, souless stadiums, with passionless crowds....

Only option I would have thought.

| The ground looked empty on the telly. From a neutrals perspective not a good advert at all. I flicked the telly over and some Onion match at Twickers looked nearly full.

| Regardless of whether it has spread rugby league, it is still a great weekend for the fans, it is good for all the fans to mix and there was a great atmosphere within the different sections. For example, the banter between wire fans and hull kr fans was great, and it was a much better atmosphere than any other wire hull kr match i have been too.

| I'd love to say it was a resounding success and the RFL are doing a fantastic job.
But a half empty stadium looks bad to a newcomer/neutral a bad advert for the game.
A new neutral venue is great but one with say a capacity of 35,000.
Ambition is all well and good but half full stadiums are embarrassing.
If that was Football (and the fans got on with each other) they would of filled the Nou camp 10 times over.
The RFL needs ambition and ambitious people but some realism wouldn't go a miss either
