| What a player! He was unreal last night, brilliant performance.
Really good result, some of our attacking play was outstanding. Thought Theo and TP played well, and once Locke gets fit he will be the best player in super league, you can see he is world class.
Bit disappointed on how we leak tries once the game was won, need to sort that out. And few strange decisions from the ref. How can a linesman say a player is in touch for the ref to reverse decision?

| You are assuming the TJ was saying Cats were in touch, looked like to long a discussion for that to be the subject.

| Thought the ref had a good game tbh - he seemed to let a lot of potential high shots go and then spoke to the player in an available break in play. This helped to keep the game flowing - other referees' would have made more of an issue out of it which would have led to a more protracted game.
Looking forward to the last remaining games (even more so if Rangi keeps that particular game head on) and the link up play with Locke. There were times last night where they were both unplayable which augurs well for our future.
Roll on Wakey away.

Might be worth tweeting the RFL Referees account for an answer on it but I'm sure I remember reading a really random rule about where a player puts a foot in touch while playing the ball after the tackle's been completed then it's play on. Can't remember the exact situation for it and the reasoning behind it though.

| When a tackle has been called held you can step into touch without giving up possession. I'm pretty certain that's the case unless the rules been amended.

Yes that is the rule, if you step into touch when getting up to play the ball you play on, the ball isn't live until the player plays it.
on another note I am little worried how rangi and Dobson will play together.
I think rangi and theo are playing very well together and both bring something different to the game,
Rangi organises and theo backs up. perfect imo.
I feel when Dobson comes in we may have a rangi / smith scenario again.
Its not a bad headache to have though!! lol

| If Chase plays well, the rest of the team inevitably do so. Ergo, we need him to play well more frequently
Fages had a great game too.

| It worried me at the time, but after Theo’s recent form it’s become even more of a concern for me now. Don’t get me wrong, Dobson is a great player but was there a need to use vital cap space on a player that we may not necessarily need? I don’t think Theo can control a game like Dobson can yet, but the kid is improving all the time. He seems to be the perfect fit for Rangi too.
I think a prop and a proven hooker were needed first and foremost, but Harris hasn’t gotten much wrong thus far so I will trust his judgement.

| Pity we appear to be up to quota/cap signings as MoiMoi has just walked out of training at Parra (told he wasn't in the squad for his last ever home game) and Pritchard is SL bound. Both would have been high on my wish list anyway.

| It looks like were heavily linked with some prop from Swinton, i feel this is one area we could do with improving a high quality prop!

Moi Moi – no thanks. Yes, we need a prop or two, but Moi Moi isn’t the answer anymore I’m afraid. To be honest I’ve always thought he’s been over-rated, he has a very direct running style, that sometimes works and lifts the crowd, but he often gets put on his backside, he has no late footwork to fool defenders and his one on one defence is pretty poor (unless you run straight at him of course). Factor into the fact he’s now 34 (?), would count on the quota and would be demanding a huge chunk of the cap he’s not worth it. For me he’s made a name out of having, big hair an unusual double barrelled name and the odd big run. Yes, he’ll probably become a bit of a cult hero (like he seems to be already across the world), but there are better options out there.
The only positive if we do sign him, would be the interest and column inches he would generate as he’s a big name in the world of RL.
