Hope Harris shows faith in him and keeps him in for rest of season, I appreciate wing is not his natural position but he could be played there till end of the season to gain much needed SL experience and also will be up some valuable pace on both flanks, what been crying out for all season.

Why Noble put no faith in our youngsters is beyond me, apart from the possible Walne brothers and Fages he never let anyone have a fair crack at the whip. Players like Evalds and Owen under Vievers where getting game time, seem to remember Evalds doing Ryan Hall for pace for a full length at Headingly and Owen was our interchange hookers. When Noble came in they have been frozen out and would rather bring loan replacements in. Players like Murphy, Williams, Manfredi, Tomkins loaned in instead of giving our own ago. Noble then let out more promise half back go out on loan and brought a big fish from small pond in Smith in. Going on abit really but hopefully Harris has had some on Wane ethos instilled into him about giving you ago because in the coming season players like Sneyd, Owen, Evalds, Walne brother, possible Fages but big improvement needed. These players could be the spine of our team, despite what opposing fans say about us signing over the hill mercenaries, it would be a shot in the arm for Alan Hunte and his team and put the myth to bed we don't produce our own. Definitely need to give Evalds a run in the team possibly even in the halves where he has played most of his footy.

If you watched the SOO the other day both teams back lines were littered with full backs playing in the centres and on the wings. I'm a believer that if you have pace you can slot in on the wing and with Niall being a fullback/halve you'd hope he offers security if any high balls go up in his direction. Also offers cover in the halves if anyone gets injured.

I'm a fan of the Walne brothers and think along with Walton offer a rosy future in the pack, I'm not sure you'll see Owen again in a Salford shirt. I think he looks like a quality hooker but a few coaches now have been loathed too let him try and prove his worth so I personally start to wonder what it is in his game (or personality) that they feel means he's not worth a shot.

We have the potential next season of having in the starting 17. Theo, Evalds, Sneyd, Walton and one of the Walnes which isn't that bad of a nucleolus of young players for the future, and Theo apart they are all talented young British kids too.

For me we need to do what the likes of Leeds and St's have done for well over the past few seasons and try to find a youngster running around in the lower divisions that maybe didn't make it at the academy level but has since blossomed like a Hardaker or Alex Walmsley .

Evalds was one of the few bright notes of another disappointing performance last night, I also thought Meli looked miles more effective playing at centre while we had another error-strewn performance from Eden. It would be nice if we could show a bit of faith in Evalds by shipping Eden back to HKR (or Gateshead) and we could line-up 1-5 against Bradford as:-

Paul Rowley apparently announced on the radio last night that Griffin has signed for Featherstone for 2015.

That I find odd as he is still very much a SL standard prop and with Morley retiring (probably) I'd expect to keep Griffin. Plus the forwards are a pretty coherent group and wholesale changes risk us losing our go forwarding.
