| What's peoples take on this? Is it good because fans can interact with there favourite players and see what they upto. It's great to see what charity work can be done and generous amount of donations received. On the other hand is it bad if players bite and give abuse to back to the haters and bring the club into disrepute?
Reason I asked I have been trawling through twitter, searched anything Koukash, SCR related and my findings where quite embarrassing to be honest. You get angry fans which want to slag the players off and try and get a bite at any opportunity, then there is a young lady, who appears to be begging the players, club for a job opportunity because she is passionate about the club! If that's the case maybe we should employ anyone who cares for the club, regardless of their credentials. Then you got the idiots who are crying out for Alker / Goulding to become our new head coach.
For what it's worth I like the interaction you can have with players on the social media networks but surely there has to be some sort of line. Passion is all good but some people are deluded and I don't know whether that makes the players more fan friendly or more wary of the creatures that lie out there.
(I realise people maybe one of those I have mentioned, even I may be included, don't take offence it's just an observation)

| It's an inevitable rolling snowball constantly gaining momentum. Whether you like social media or not it's here to stay. Saying that, just like everything else, it's populated by sane and loony alike and unlike real life where you can just avoid an idiot or give a lippy bellend a clout you are stuck with them. I think it's a great tool for information and great for fans to be able to communicate with the fellas they watch every week. As a player, I'd be a little more wary. It's unfair, but that's the line of work they're in.

| It's an embarrassment and I'm embarrassed by what our fans get up to on there. That's my take on it #notgood

I'm wondering how many will get the irony in your post Ave It?
Regardless...
Back before all the Social Media shenanigans, in fact you don't even need to do that, how many times have you seen a bellend mouth-off at a player on the sidelines or coming off the pitch? Or how many times did you see regular sycophants do the same thing every week in the players bar? It's just the same. The difference is, everyone can see it now.

| There are pros and cons but it's going nowhere. How an individual uses Facebook, Twitter et al is up to them; it's their own business.

| I think its good, all us fans have moaned about in the past is no line of communication open to us fans. I think there is room for improvement but its a positive step forward.
Sale have very good communication with their fans even having a presence on their equivent of the turkey its used to reaily funnel any grievences back to the club so they can act on it not to get involved in petty squables or rumour or politics on here.
Hopefully they will continue to improve

Bobby - You're exactly the sort of person we need to be keeping away from the players on social media!!!

| On the communication from the club point: It's great that the club and stadium do have such a visible and open presence on Facebook and Twitter, however there seems to be little or no effort made to make the same level of communication outside of those spheres. See the season ticket card scenario as an example.
Oh and don't think the club aren't watching us on here, either. Evening all.

| The club does have a social media policy, however in the past it was never really enforced, particularly when some of our Antipodean friends were slagging the club off at every opportunity. As for Sale Sharks didn't they sack one of their media staff for slagging the fans off.

Yes, it was the person in charge of Sale’s social media function commenting on their own, ‘private’ Facebook account. Oh, the irony.
