How did he play for you lot last year ?

He was very inconsistant. One minute he'd do something really good and the next he'd make a clanger. He always tried very hard and didn't shirk the work. Unfortunately he made quite a few errors.
He has all the attributes but it's getting the consistancy. Maybe he needs a good run in the team to build up his confidance. Glad he's found a team ad all the best to him

Moments of genious and moments of madness. Too hot and cold to be a great player but has bags of potential with the right coach and team around him.

Tyrer lacks the consistency, concentration and the confidence to ever be good enough for Super League in my opinion. He could be a star in the National Leagues but will never amount to more than a back-up at the top level. He should be a pretty good signing for Widnes.

Showed flashes of talent in attack at times.

Defensive liability though, absolute turnstile.

Best moment was when he scored against Quins and celebrated by nearly taking the Quins player's head of with the ball

thats was the funniest thing iv seen! his kicks was good! the one against warrington when he kicked it outside his foot was a top,he can out run players too like the game against huddisfield.he did give away too many mistakes.Good luck to him though,hes a decent lad who had his heart settled at salford but im sure he will do well at widnes

He's a good goal-kicker, just what we lack.

When did you release him ?

We had him on loan from Sts.

If he can cut the errors out and has help in defence he'll be a decent signing for you.

having only missed 4 games home and away this season,i would say tyrer would be more at home playing for swinton!!!how the lad played the amount of games he did baffles me!!

perhaps he needs to swap sports then!as he single handed must have cost us at leats 20 trys this year with his shocking defensive skills!!

Wasn't he offered a contract with Wigan Athletic as a keeper?

Tyrer is all @ sea when it comes to defence, when he wasnt missing tackles it was bad positioning, when it wasnt bad positioning it was bad reads week in week out.

Attacking wise he could turn it on and score tries, but he had a bit of pan hands @ times.

Yeah on loan along with Matty Smith in 2008.

He looks a class player and ,certainly ,has something about him.
Good on attack.
His defence is woeful.Thats obviously been his downfall but has some high quality moments.

Like has been said, shown some great moments in attack but defence has been really bad far too many times! Whats happening to Mcgilvary as well?

We are looking a bit light. Currently the possible choices for three-quarters are by my reckoning:

Gibson
Henry
Nero
Broughton
Gleeson
Ratchford
Bailey
Wild

Gibson, Henry and Nero (plus Ratchford i guess) could play either centre or winger. Not sure how Gleeson would go at Wing? Wouldn't want to rely too much on Bailey and Wild in the centres

I can see Ratchford playing a few games as a winger again next year covering for injuries but we better hope the first choices stay fit for most of the season
