2011 is a Huge year for the club especially if we finish bottom this season. Basically we have to speculate to accumulate and spend 100% Salary Cap to show to the outside world that we are stepping from the depths of mediocrity into a sparkling brand new era.

In short we are nothing like good enough at this level and I feel for the Chairman & Directors in the enormous task they have ahead. The team needs solid investment and not just a tin of Band Aid.

Assuming 24 in the squad for me there are just 6 players good enough to hack it in SL 2011. We have to forget emotional ties on several players & somehow Mr Simms & Co have to find 11 players of quality to come in. At the moment I feel this is a reasonable start :-

No - we need better quality Aussies - must aim for a higher level.

I'd keep Swain, usually gives 100% and is one of our best tacklers and is always keen to run in the ball when the forwards are tired, personally I think since hes come hes been one of our better players.

I'd keep Henry as I doubt we'll be signing Greg Inglis anytime soon.

Plenty about FL if we want to reach the next level. If we are lingering near the bottom even with the new Stadium I am concerned that our on field performances wont help out Franchise hopes. The fact that Wakey & Cas are well down the field with their new ground is our best source of salvation.

If, and they are always big ifs with salford, the rumour of stephen wild coming to salford is true i'd let swain go and get another aussie in. I would keep hold of Henry, though, as i don't think there are many better centres in super league. If we also get andrew ryan, then that would give us adamson, sidlow, wild, parker and ryan, and that's assuming we don't retain sibbit/littler, we possibly have some pretty good back row options.

Just not sure what names you had in mind - I'm nowhere near as well up on the NRL as I used to be, and have never been anywhere near as well up on the NRL as others on here.

Feka is the new Lee Hanson, dire and over hyped.
Wild would be a good signing but again is he going to be betterthan Swain at 13? doubt it and with Alker going do we need to be loseing our other tackling machine.
I'm not sure on Pryce if you could get him in the centre outside Gibson it could be devasting, for me though unless it is litterally punching he has never punched his weight as he is huge.

Wild might not be better than Swain, but he's probably better in attack and at a similar level in defence. Thus allowing us to sign another overseas player. Personally I wouldn't want to see him leave, but if it was a choice between keeping Henry and Swain I'd say there are plenty of good backrow forwards in supre league, but not enough quality centres. Unless we've got a better centre lined up I'd say with Talau off, keeping hold of Henry should be a priority.

As for Pryce, he doesn't look that motivated in a good Wigan side so why the hell would would he suddenly gain any sort of desire or commitment for us. He could be awesome, but couldn't give a damn.
