| i know i have been moaning since fridays performance ,but now i have chose to face the facts , we will not be winning the grand final this year ,but a good run in the cup is not out of the question ? and getting on the teams back after two games was a mistake , we will turn the corner i am sure of that , hopefully sooner rather than later , ok not everyone is convinced with mcrea and simms but they are our coaches so lets give them our support , it is not going to help the team if we boo , we are better fans than that , lets all put fridays game behind us and start showing the rest of the rugby league world why we are the best fans in the league bar none , i for one will be
KEEPING THE FAITH

| Worryingly, I agree with your sentiments Smithy.
You do realise that Steve Simms isn't actually a coach though, right?

| i dont know why people think we had a right to win on friday, just because we was at home and they are supposed to be our rivals for the wooden spoon, but they've signed better players than what we've got, they've got a top coach and backroom staff, plus they had two good hard hit outs against leeds and wigan, in which they didn't get hammered, before they played us. We'd only played hull kr, which we did ok in but it is understandable that we'd be more rusty than they was. Also what ed me off was that j.smith didn't replace alker at all during the first half, he did at hull and seemed to give us more attacking options, this will happen more and more i feel now alker has a say in things.

Have you asked yourself how? They had about 2 months to put a new team together when all the major players had already been snapped up by October? They didn't have a ground and weren't even sure if they'd survive to offer players a contract and tell me, who have they signed that is [ithat[/i good?
Kear, Youngquest, Dyer, Mellars, Raynor, Lupton, Witt, O'Hara, Withers, Bryant, Chan, Winternstein, Trimarchi.
Subs: Hauraki, Peek, Thackray, Flower.
They made one very, very good signing, Brian Noble.

| One of, if not the, best posts you've come up with smudge.
Two things concern me:
Iindividually I think we have all the ability to do well. The question is, do we have the coaches to the get the best out of them?
Secondly I get the impression Alker is doing a little bit of a Roy Keane. In that he's bit a great player, but now he's past his best all he seems to be doing is causing problems.

| Has somebody hacked into your account smithy? I am finding myself agreeing with your first post! On another note, how could mal be causing problems?

Is the coach going to drop himself when he's not playing well? I'm not saying mal is playing bad but we need more zip at the play the ball and i think j smith adds that and not mal. Like i said, at hull kr when smith replaced mal after about 25 mins or so we had more zip. He didn't come off at all during the first half on friday! Is that because of his influence as coach? I think changes need making. Parker is not a prop but where play him? Can we drop adamson or swain who are two of our best players? I think Sidlow should definately be in the 17 as he adds size to our pack.

Think most Salford fans would have been happy to sign either Thackray (he isnt Stapo but he'd do for a starting partner for Cashmere for me) or Raynor as both have proven ability. But in the main I agree Noble will make them the team they turn into this season.

| Good signings but don't forget we have an overseas quota. The coach isn't getting the performance for whatever reason
