I can only echo what other people have said. It was pure nepotism that saw the RFL promote Rimmer from within, despite a glaring lack of vision, aptitude or eloquence. His natural level is probably commercial manager of a championship club.

Not everybody has a "rich uncle". Cas fans probably wonder about your flexible salary cap.

The last 2 CEO's have been the worst the game has had, and there have been some absolute shockers, so that is saying something.

Ralph Rimmer in a short time has even managed to not only alienate the fans but the leading players, past players, commentators, grass roots volunteers and many clubs and their owners.

Rimmer once attended a Fans Forum at Odsal and for some reason was surprised with the negative reaction he received.

Last night proved once again that he’s tone deaf, unwilling to listen to fans / former players and can’t admit when he’s made a mistake.

He’s doing a great job of turning fans and young players away from the sport. Unfortunately on his position he should be doing the opposite.

Can't wait for the RFL to appoint the new mystery guy to take his place and who will double the TV deal, double the crowds and double playing numbers via doubling the academies.....

I saw a pretty good analogy on twitter yesterday that likened the player pool of junior talent to that of a lake of water slowly running out of fish.
The RFL's solution to the problem is, instead of working hard to expand the lake and attract more fish, they have simply reduced the number of people allowed to fish there.

To be fair, if you stop fishing, the number of fish would increase naturally over time, so it's not really the best analogy.

Like he said there was a 'challenge process' imbedded within the procedure. Let's see what a third party thinks when the 5 clubs who didn't get through the process take it to the next stage.
