I’m not stirring in anyway here but I wonder if the BLM thing has caused him some bother. Unlike the others Lyne is British and knows what it’s like to be a young black British male. He more than anyone else will be subject to the current divisions in society and the pressures in both directions must be strong.

For me he was one of the few players who could justifiably take the knee. Brave lad but scary for him. Maybe a few weeks away will do him no harm tbh.

No more than the others I should think.
He still made 17 tackles (I think), so that side was well targeted. It was disorganised rather than bad play for me.

The problem with Gigot is that he selected at full back but does not play there and neither does anyone else hence the pressure placed on us by a good kicking game. The best we can say is that he is just trying too hard the worst he is not a full back.

Just looked it at again and still surprised he's got a ban.

He missed 5 though against Catalans and I noticed against Wigan he came out of the line a few times despite us being numbered up. I feel as though most of the time it’s us having to commit too many men to the ruck and we then get outnumbered on the flanks. Maybe that’s what caused Lyne to shoot in even when we had the numbers. Almost like he just didn’t trust his inside men?

Sorry but I think it would affect him more! Whether it has made any difference to his game is more questionable.

I honestly don’t get why Gigot has walked straight in. We know Rocky, Walker and Max have been effective in the roll, it’s a position that seems well catered for. Unless Walker is injured I’m baffled by his exclusion.

I agree about Walker. He did get an injury but you'd think he'd get the start.

I’m just going off the last article the club posted on the matter. It said that 30/33 players had agreed to a pay cut a week or so before the season restarted. Also, there’s been no mention of injuries for either of them.

I had forgotten about the two holdouts so with the current wall of silence regarding these two players I guess you could be correct.
I wonder what that means for their futures and contracts if correct.

Unfortunate for Reece as he’s a key player for us and will be missed...wouldn’t put the blame on him for last week as the defensive line was a shambles and Catalans did a great job of getting men over...most in part down to the excellent Sam Tomkins I thought...

Yes they didn’t agree contracts. But there were still three players when the season started who didn’t agree pay cuts. We know Brough, Arundel and BJB are out long term. We know Brough and King are leaving anyway.

Haven’t heard anything about Green or Walker though. I just think they haven’t agreed to a pay cut, and maybe that’s why Chester isn’t selecting them for squad harmony?

Now I’ve said that, watch them come into the squad this weekend.
