| They really do think they're the Aussie version of the NFL don't they.
Another well thought out idea from our Aussie friends.

It is difficult to explain to your average Oker that whilst your average ANZAC living in London will flock to an 'International' game, CLUB's do not command the same level of attraction.
When the Crusaders played the Sharks in a S15 game at Twickenham, with some of the money raised going to the Christchurch Earthquake fund, they only got about 35k there IIRC. If the accomplished turd polishers who fill Wembley for Saracens couldn't even half fill Twickenham for a good cause, then god help the NRL.

| Have to say i don't really care if they do or don't but maybe if they played it at the Man City ground or even OT they would get a very healthy crowd. Not sure with London

Totally agree with you, the key to marketing rugby league is good image, great looking games on tv etc. Way to achieve this is is to have full stadiums. 45,000 at Etihad for this game would be better looking than a half full ground in London.

| How would you schedule it as SL would be 3 games in to the season? Big ask of fans.

| Double header at wembley, Souths v St George then Leeds v Wigan could work. Played the week after the world club challenge as they are over here anyway.

What a shame that so many UK fans rush to be first in the queue to deride any groundbreaking suggestion for promoting RL. Used to be a marketing genius called Peter Deakin and that's just the sort of event he'd mould into a riproaring success. Maybe the logistics or whatever in the end won't stack up, who knows, but how nice to read of some innovative forward thinking in our sport.

| I just don't see what benefit it would be to either the NRL or to the sport in this country either. If we're going to put a load of money into marketing and organising a big RL event in London I'd far rather it involved a British RL club in the main event.

So you would favour the WCC being held in London?

If it was marketed properly, absolutely.

| If marketed properly I think it could really work, it's something I'd love too see however I'd much rather they brough a state of origin game over! that would be unreal.
