The same person who told me about a player going to Castres (Jamil Fakir) this afternoon told me that 2 more Dragons players are moving clubs at the end of the season one forward (French) either to an NRL club or another SL team and the other half french (Not sure what he means by that) has or is signing with a super 14 team in oz he said its the same agent who is french but based in australia who has done the deals.

Any ideas this is not good news as they need to keep players

Good news about the Frenchman moving to SL, we need more of that. Bad news about the Union defect, 'half French' could mean either one of the Bentley's or Dimitri Pelo, bad news either way but I hope it's not Pelo.

Agree if it's true, would hate to see someone like Pelo moving, would weaken France. Wouldn't mind seeing a few young French players playing in the NRL though, could help them up their game maybe bring that little extra bit to their games.

Rumours of Ferriol's NRL ambitions abound, would hate to see him go but would be good for him and the French national side. Same is also true of Elima, but with a bigger loss to the side.

We would be really stuck if Pelo or Kane left. Not likely to be one of the Bentlys though, as they would go as a group or not at all.

I think it would be a good idea to change the rules on French players and start classifying them as Federation Trained the same should go for all players within the RLEF. We need more French players at SL clubs, but at the moment there's too many barriers stopping clubs signing them.

Pelo grew up in Australia anyway... it would be like going home.

Its not fair that the NRL should be treated as some school for players of developing nations. Burgess, Eliss, Flanagan and that bloke called Widdles or whatever his name is at the Storm are already there. If we start taking French players on as well it just dilutes our competition IMO.

I think you'll find that he's already in SL at Dragons.
