The most frustrating thing is our big game players have had shockers. Tomkins has probably put in his worst performance all season for club and country. Ellis has been poor. Sinfield poor. Even Roby hasn't been up to his usual standards. Very disappointing all round.

That's just it, Sinfield is the only player in the England team who can give direction and a purpose, everything revolves around him. Unfortunately that makes it so easy to defend against, whereas Australia have possibly 4 pivots on the field with Lockyer, Thurston, Smith and Cronk guiding the team. We need at least another player with a kicking game who can guide the team around the field.
