Gets my vote, then Wakefield can go back to being Wakefield Trinity.

I would think that 'Option' lies solely with the Cas board and hopefully fans as to whether it is open or not...

The thing is the actual statement cites Newmarket as the possible shared venue.

| So the wakefield chairman clearly agrees with exactly what I said earlier in this thread and the reasons I gave. It makes sense from a business point of view for them to groundshare, this is why it's the best option. It doesn't fully suit Wakey but they are not in a position to moan about this things. Terrific for Cas meaning more income.
Wakey will sell their own ground and this could probably go towards their rent and other things they need to pay off.
I would seriously look forward to the derby games in this new stadium.

BV has been sold, the club have received approximately half and the rest appears to have disappeared down a black hole.

Still must be a lot of money hanging about though. I would guess the money that has gone down the whole as been to pay things off whatever that may be. We can't really comment though, we don't know how much, where it's gone......
The point still stands, Wakey will have enough money to pay rent to Cas. It is also cheaper to rent than it is to run your own stadium.
For the people who don't like it.... just admit it, groundsharing works.

So Cas plow on putting money into their own development and then at the drop of a hat jump on board with troubled Wakey and groundshare at their PP waiting ground.....
Or a typo and Wakey now realise the clock is ticking so fast and loud they try to drown out the noise with soundbites.

There is no money. The ground was sold for £2.8m. Half has been received from the buyer, who borrowed the money from the Bank of Ireland, and the remaining half disappeared. The buyer has defaulted on the loan so effectively the BOI own BV.

How amusing. I think the commitment of money for full PP reaffirms Cas's commitment to building the stadium. It will single-handedly be the biggest significant milestone in our history and shape the future for generations to come.

I think it shows you have paid for the planning Fully, nothing more old lad.
Would you like me to explain the difference between plans and building a stadium or would you like RW's version instead.

It must be comforting for you to know that the Wakey chairman publicly agrees with you and your business plan for the club, I hope as a business man you will continue to point us in the right direction, there is just one thing I do not understand though, why on earth would we want to groundshare at the jungle

Lovely attempt at twisting the meaning but you know I am not trying to pretend has actually listened to me etc..

Even Salford now are considering a groudshare with Sale. This is not fluke, it makes sense from a business point of view.
I hope it comes off personally, it will bring in extra money for Salford.

as long as Wilkinson makes sure that the arrangement suits Salford and his lawyers draw up a well thought out and legally binding agreement as Brian Kennedy is a ****

To be honest I can see this move being a bit of a fail for Sale anyway but I'm not bothered. They would be moving a long way from their current home and their attendances are pretty poor anyway. If Salford could build attendances like other Rugby team have been able to do since moving to new stadiums then Rugby League could kill off any hopes RU has of being a big sport in Manchester.
Salford get 6-7 sometimes even 8k for the big games. In a new stadium this could be pushed over 10k especially with the better away support they would get from Wigan, Saints and Wire.
This is the perfect location for a new stadium as well. Right near the motorway and near the trafford centre! Great place for a day out. It will pay off for Salford big time.

| To be fair, I'm not sure what Wilky is doing saying that as it's nothing to do with him (ultimately) as SRLFC don't own the ground, that's down to the Joint venture Company / Management, Salford City Council & Peel Holdings, it's their decision at the end of the day. However (and I say this as a Liverpool fan) from a personal view I'd rather have MUFC reserves playing there, it could help to build a link between Salford & Utd that could be very beneficial in the long run (Sponsorship etc), but like I say that's just my view, oh and besides most of the comments from Sale fans I've read haven't been to enthusiastic about the whole thing so much so many say they wouldn't attend!
