| Why? It's never been a problem in tge past and it's not now. Why waste cap space when we don't need to?

| i dont think its about the salary cap i think its about peacock whinging about playing to many games[he does'nt want more money its about sinfield [talking to the press about how the players are here at leeds not for the money but because its a close knit club & we want to win thing together well they've won everything together so now its time to be rewarded & i dont think they are getting it & i think its causing problems in camp.imo when your the best & your not being payed as much as players at other clubs then problems arise.hope im wrong though because a crap leeds team devalues the compitition big time.

| I thought losing Lee Smith was going to be a big blow, i'm not sure how much money he wanted to stay but he was young and talented and would be a much better bet for the future than paying big money for Webb who is offering very little these days.

| So far, this season Leeds have been found out.
It is a test of the PLAYERS ability to see if THEY can turn it round but boy it's obvious that some just cannot think outside the box!!

Last time I looked on the Rhino,s website there was a 15 page thread about the topic. Looks as though the Rhino will be heading down into the bottom 4 if they pick any more injuries up. Its going to be a tough campaign this season to keep teams at strength.

What the players think they are worth and what they actually are, are 2 different things.
Some shouldn't even be paid in bent washers IMO!!!
Also if they are TEAM players money would be a secondary concern

| Why is top 4 so important ? both 3 and 4 lost at home in round 2 last season, 5 and 6 get a home game and then a losing team away, not a massive advantage to my mind.
I think the play-offs will be different this season, 3 and 4 won't meekly accept the inevitable as last year and really bust a gut in round 1.
If Leeds do make it through to round 3 it would take a brave club to pick them.

| With a full strength side Leeds are perhaps the only team that could win it from outside the top four. However, I can't see them not finishing in the top four because other sides will have injuries too. What would other teams do if players like Eastmond, Tomkins, King and Carmont were out injured?

| Kings playing well but jesus, if he got injured we'd just stick someone else like Simon Grix there, no biggie.
We've also played most of this season without Clarke, Mathers (imo no real loss), Briers and Bridge and Myler have missed a few, every team gets injuries but in the past Leeds have been so far ahead of everyone else, throw a couple of kids in there and it hasn't made a difference.
Teams are going to headingly now genuinely believing they can win and honestly, I think its that change in mental attitude combined with a few missing for Leeds that in the past wouldnt have mattered that's seen some results like last night pop up.

you really are a clueless idiot aren't you? we had 7 first teamers out last night, we had 3 18 year olds on debut, another 2 yougsters with hardly a game between them and we still had a great chance of winning. the effort was outstanding, i was chuffed to bits with the effort. with even a couple of players back we would have won that game easily, rovers were no more than average.
oh, and peacock was the best player on the pitch by a mile, leading by example as usual

So when you have a "full team" (whatever that is) on the field what's the excuse then?
Match officials?, the weather?, the pitch?, OR!!!!!!
that Leeds have been found out by the opposition and just at the moment
a) wont/can't admit it
b) Can't/won't change their methods/game plan.
C) Will change slowly (for the benefit of the intelligensia at the club) but surely and and show the game what they truely capable of, especially when a certain Mr Smith was in charge!!

| thanks for confirming your idiocy. i never sought to blame anyone and would be happy for you to point out where i did. the simple fact is we are decimated by injury. i fully expect us to pick up when we get bodies back, i just hope we can stay in touch until then

| You could add an 8th player in Bush too as he would have played had he been fit.
Anyway, re: roversmad's comment. WTH? Where did tad mention anything about you not deserving the win? You were the slightly better team and I'd say a 1 try win was probably about right. So far this year though only 1 team has stuffed us and that was Wakey. In the other 3 losses (4 if you count the Storm) anybody could have snatched the result going into the last few minutes and ATEOTD I love it! I much prefer this to winning by 30 or 40 most weeks.

No.
Leeds have injuries, super league as it is these days if you have injuries you can come out the wrong end.
Leeds have still come close to winning most of their games.
When they get players back they will start to win.
The ''leeds have been found out'' brigade will f*ck off pretty sharpish when leeds hit form.

I,m not too sure, if teams target Sinfield and McQuire while they are still weak its possible they may lose quite a few more games and struggle to even make the top 8.
8th place could be 12 losses this season and currently Leeds are heading in this direction more so than Wigan, Warrington, Huddersfield, St Helens, Hull, Wakefield, Bradford, Hull KR.

| I think the point being made here is that in the past, even with a few injuries, Leeds were sufficiently superior to the majority of other sides in the comp that they could scratch a win. Evidently that's no longer the case.
Incidentally, when Leeds played Cas in round 1 they did so with an almost full strength side (a workmate told me before the game that they'd have no excuses if they lost cos they had a full strength team out) and the benefit of a competitive hit out the week before against Crusaders. So injuries can't be used as an excuse for that result.
I'd still be surprised if Leeds don't make the top 4 but given the results so far they can be far from certain of it. Which (Leeds fans excepted) most people will agree is good for the game....
