Bosc is still very good, and Julien Bousquet and Remi Casty are two of the best props in Super League. Anthony Gigot and Vincent Duport are also top quality, and Mickael Simon adds some starch to the Wakefield Trinity pack. Meanwhile young teenager half Lucas Albert is, along with Fouad Yaha, a star in the making.

Congratulations to Leigh. Good to see the system doing what it was designed to do. If we still had straight promotion and relegation a considerably weaker Leigh team would be just starting to think about how many players they could pinch off the relegated team. Leigh would be weaker because they would probably have been created to only beat other Championship opposition. Under this system they go up knowing that they can already compete at least with the lower levels and that they are in a position to strengthen.
P.S I would like us to be in a position to have a strong enough professional game to have P+R, but until that happens..........

After watching how you win a game I can see why. Like watching paint dry while a man blows a whistle a lot.

There is a malaise at the club, through the players and management and i believe it all stems from the "events" of pre season!
However they are professional sportsmen and as such should overcome these things and be professional and do the job they are paid fairly well to do.

We've had plenty ' normal ' fans suggest this as a reason for not attending matches at Leigh , be they club or internationals

Well John , if they do , then good on them , it's what Sport is , Toulouse are a great club , I proudly stood and saluted as I stood next to their band and their Chairman as they played ' God save the Queen ' for me in their 1 st I'll fated Champion season , they will deserve it

The promotion of Leigh is the best thing to happen to super league in years. A well run, ambitious club that has [i[uearned their place with performances on the field[/u[/i. Being a local club it will also create some local derby type match ups as well.

It's great to see a team promoted based purely on their on field performances.

If the fanciful Toulouse want their seat at the table they are going to have to earn it on the field.

And if they would have had crap crowds, a crap ground, very little money and we're made up of purely players who have already proved average at best in SL, with no player development to speak of, would it still be the best thing to happen to SL then.

Before people start foaming at the mouth, only one of those things apply to Leigh (the academy bit) and they have done a good job of developing players that might otherwise have been lost to the game.

Leigh are a good team to come up. Im just trying to make the point that success on the field should not be the only criteria for being allowed at the top table.

What I worry about is that because of the quality of the teams below those with a chance to come up, all we are likely to see is the same clubs swapping and changing and no one actually developing.

Leigh haven't played in super league for 10 years. Last years MPG teams are nowhere around. So far it's too early to say it'll be the same teams swapping. Performances on the field should be the only criteria. It is for deciding champions.

If a team manages to oust a super league despite having no youth development, yet also poor crowds and therefore little money to buy up players, then they've done pretty f*cking well and deserve it. Generally speaking good performances on the field will be a by product of good things happening off the field.

Or a loudmouth millionaire owner who is able to get the rules changed to allow him to spend way more money than everyone else in the division.

A millionaire owner isn't such a bad thing. The game isn't exactly flush, and it's a bit rich for super league team fans (not directed at you, just mean in general) to be squawking about owners with money considering most super league clubs are bankrolled to some degree and a fair few have breached SC rules at some point.
