| I think it a little unfair that Halifax followers should complain when their club was permitted to spend beyond the salary cap for the 2010 season during which they ticked the box for on-field criteria by winning the Grand Final.
It was other Super League clubs that agreed with the latest ruling on clubs going into administration - probably to do a favour for Crusaders.
Best wishes to Wakefield.Good luck in the future to Halifax.

| There is talk that Crusaders might not play their remaining fixtures although those are mere rumours.
What about the few season ticket holders?
Bit of a kick in the teeth for all 7 of them?
Would they be eligible for a refund?
And it could influence the final outcome on the table too if the team didn't show up or they put out a weakened one.
Well an even more weak one.

| Not wanting to take ' sides ' here , but it would seem to me that in an attempt to protect the Crusaders [ by changing the rules on administration the RFL have sabotaged Halifaxs application
If the rules had not been changed , Halifax would today be in SL
This is why fans get so frustrated , with the actions of the RFL

Players not getting paid by owners who want to kill 2 clubs......I think the chance of a refund is very slim indeed.

So based on the independant panel, KPMG and Savilles Celtic crusaders was a Financially viable proposition for at least 3 years, The club say differently, What credability does this give the whole Independant Panel ( of which Woods and Lewis are on BTW ) when they cant even get that right.

So, basically the RFL will NOT now be taking past events into consideration. Halifax could go bust, employ murderers, and defraud everyone they ever deal with, so long as they put in an application which, for the [ifuture,[/i shows that they have a backer and have totally changed their ways.
For what it's worth - if they sat down and looked at both applications side by side as the clubs stand NOW and it is their judgement that Glover is a safer bet then fair do's. However, they should remove past activities and results from all of their criteria bollax.

| Let’s face it, the only reason Wakey are in is because the Crusaders bailed at the eleventh hour.
I can just imagine the pandemonium at Red Hall yesterday, with Lewis asking Rimmer where the bids for Wakey & Fax are.
In the bin where you instructed comes the reply.
Plan B then, who’s got the best pies Nigel?
Wakey are in……….

Or maybe Crusaders had some promise of funding that has failed to materialise and thus rendered their business case defunct. Or possibly some part of their business case needed further investigation by the panel/auditors and it was only recently completed, resulting in their withdrawal by mutual consent.
Plenty of possibilities for those with an open mind and no axe to grind.

But I can understand the frustration of fax fans this morning, my initial feeling was delight for wakey but on second thoughts this would have been the perfect time to give them a shot. Wakefield were down, they knew it. Fax have done a lot right to get themselves in this position and Wakefield are still living on certain promises. Hopefully fax will get their chance sooner rather than later.

| Im a Trinity fan, and very sorry for those fans who are today disappointed at having their expectations dashed. The facts are that none of us have seen the respective aplications so our comments here are pure conjecture. Now Im the first one to criticise some of our fans for their paranoia about the RL world hating us - I don't believe it does. At the same time however I struggle to find any evidence that we are in any way favoured SO to those Fax fans choosing to express their disapointment today by lashing out at our club I ask you this;
If, as many assert, the Fax aplication was so obviously better than Trinity's what possible reasons might the RFL have for accepting our inferior aplication and rejecting your superior one?
Is it at all possible that without ticking the sexy stadium box the higher ups at WTRLFC have done some good work that makes their aplication stronger than yours?

| I don't see what all the crying is about from Fax.
The crowd figures were massaged to get over the 2500 mark at the end of last year, your coach has just walked out, the side's full antipodeans and hardly any local players, I was definitely asked (and obliged) to putting some money in a begging bucket at the Shay a few years ago, and the only reason the ground's up to speed is because it's council owned.
I suggest Fax do as Widnes did, listen to the feedback, jump through the right hoops and accept this decision with a little dignity.

It's the total binning of the RFL's assessment criteria that irks. Lewis even waffled on about how licensing would bring financial stability and then, in the next breath announced that a club which had gone into administration whilst holding a license were to be given another one. The RFL denied Widnes entry three years ago on that very basis. Dignity? How about a bit of integrity? The RFL should re-assess it's criteria requirements and bloody well stick to them!!!
