The problem with us is that we have an inate ability to be sh*te. It doesn't seem to matter who the personnel are or who the coach is we never seem to move forward. We had one great year under Harrison, it was an honour to watch that team, so much fight in them and hard work. The next season relegation!!

Im so disillusioned after tonights game. Its not the result but the complete lack of effort by 90% of the players tonight that upsets me. McRae is the wrong man for the job. We need a young hungry coach who has something to prove to take control and put some pride back into the club. So much enthusiasm at the start of season has completely disappeared in 160 mintes of rugby!

I've been watching Salford for 15+ years and I honestly don't think we've made any progress at all during that time. Hopefully the new stadium will be the start but at the minute I'm nothing but fearful for our future.

I'm basically rambling now, sorry!

Salford were dreadful tonight, their defence was absolutely appalling. If anything, the scoreline flattered them as Saints certainly took their foot off the gas in the last 20-25 minutes.

once they get their new ground sorted theyll be a fine SL club

the RFL gave lots of clubs chances last time to build their grounds, its not an easy thing to do

Massively splits opinion at Trinity. Many want him to stay and may want him to go. Although he's had a raw deal this season and last with things out of his control, since the departure of Brough the team has looked woefully inadequate as results and perhaps more tellingly performances have shown.

It's still very early in the season but the signs certainly aren't encouraging. I thought Salford migh kick on this season with the sigings they've made. There is time but I'm of the opinion that Salford need this new stadium and they need it to work within the next 3 years.

Personally don't rate McRae as a coach and wasn't impressed with the influx of signings except one or two. That said, when bringing in so many players it will always take time for the team to gel. If after 6 or 7 rounds they're still not upto speed then it's time to go.

Salford really need Brian Noble,it wouldn't be pretty but at least he'd tighten things up. However I suspect he's waiting for Hull to finally dump Agar.

Is Nobby that good though? You could say that his success at Bradford came on the back of what Matthew Elliott built, that the squad he had at Wigan consistently underachieved and that he could not control the GB squad and get us a series victory with all that talent at his disposal.

Noble has brought solidity and improvement to every single club he's coached. I used to be critical of him due mainly to the fact that his teams very rarely won big games and never against Saints. But his work at Wigan was decent and he worked wonders with Crusaders at a time when everyone expected them to finish bottom by some distance. Making the playoffs was a superb achievement.

If he went into Salford now I reckon he would have them finishing 8th or 9th. Not the playoff certainties or 'dark horses' some truly idiotic people have billed them as but solid and hard to beat, particularly at home.

I think that the fault lies with the coach.the playre look to have no idea out on the pitch.
Yes there are new players in the squad, but they have been there since training began in November. So the arguements for taking time to gel appear unfounded, as they have been working together for at least 4 months .Given a better coach with ability Salford could make the top 8 easily which would give the long suffering supporters something to cheer and make the move to the new stadium something to look forward too with optimisim.

Given this I am not to sure who would be best to replace Mc Rea? yes noble would give a degree of stability but the also the rugby wouldn't be pretty but they may start to progress not regrees.
Not sure what Mr Wilkinson is doing? Is sky paying Shauns qwagers then asw anyone else would have been shown the door by now.
