| I played as A N other for Baltey second team when they had one about 6 years ago i came on for about 10 mins but i did play decent leval at amiture leval playing against such team like sharlston and queens i also played Heavy wollen district team and also when i was a youngster i got picked to train with the yorkshire sqaud.
Youngsters now days get better chances and get better training to make it they have scholiships and acadamy levels in my day you to be the very best around and you might have a chance of playing at colts level.

| Was amateur Lancashire u19's
Played for the British Polytechnic Sports Association (BPSA) against British Universities and British Colleges then a couple of years later England Students
The 4 nations England squad I played for was the best standard - had about 15 pro's in it (they drafted in loads of part time students on day release from pro clubs... we won the tournament easily but it was outside of the spirit in my opinion)
No rugby now... not in the right part of the country for proper rugby... just done an Ironman Triathlon this year (Lanzarote) and now its time to stop the body breaking sports and head for the golf course I think!

I played 3 games for reserves and broke my arm. I was out injured for 10 weeks before broke same arm and was released.
6 months later I was at Leigh. I played a season and had Warrington again looking at me until I broke my ankle in 1st game 2nd season.
I now play for my local team. If it wasn't for injuries.....'"

| I came into League from union always supported HKR but lived in a non league playing town(they do play now) had a run out with Rovers colts as a 15 year old in 1960's but got no where, I enjoyed a short lived but productive Union career as a serviceman living in the far east playing as an international for Singapore touring Australia, Japan & Fiji. Had another go at league late 60's but not good enough to make a living so opted on the good advice of my late father & stayed a serviceman. most of the time I have lived away from the league heartlands so never got the chance to play again(could not play Union as I had got the life ban for playing League by then) But since returning
To my home area I have enjoyed watching my sons play, both very good amateurs, the youngest playing for Rovers academy & York wasps. at the moment I am looking forward to watching my grand daughter get involved in the sport. I did have a mad rush of blood a few years ago & played a half in the local league aged 52 a heart attack a few months later killed off my last thoughts of stardom. We are all daft about this game to even be on here talking about it.

| I played for Chorley Boroughs A team for half a season so it doesnt get any lower than that pro wise.
Still it was a good laugh and a chance to train with some legends like Kevin Tamati(coach) Kurt Sorenson and Des Drummond.
Played amateur for last 20 years or so, now retired

| I had a trial with Langworthy Juniors at 16. I scored against the first team winger and he smiledand winked at me and said come back next week. Fearing for my safety I decided to end my RL career there and then!

| Both my Brothers played for Hull FC A team, they set a record as they never lost a match that season.
My older brother went on to be a regular in the FC team, he was the hooker, at one match he had the Great Britain coach watching him for Australian tour, he did his knee (crucial ligament), Brian Noble got to play in Aus for that tour.
If there had of been girls teams then I would have played

Kurt Sorenson in the centre and Dessie Drummond on the wing... I think I'd be asking the coach to swap wings if I saw those two walking out!!

| Rhinos scout rated me when I was younger. Just a shame we had this greedy ginger b*stard in our team who though he was the second coming. Last thing I heard about him is he quit the game
I once offloaded with ten people on me & ran the length of the field. Only if it wasn’t for my knee injury and that ginger lad I could have been a star

| I've represented Lancashire and England at U15's whilst also being on Wigan Warriors scholarship before moving onto Widnes Vikings foundation academy in 2005. From there I signed for Salford City Reds for a season before moving back to the Amateur game.
Since then I've played for Wigan St Patricks, Ashton Bears and my current club Leigh Miners Rangers respectively.

Seriously your older brother would have gone on to play for GB, no question on that and not playing him at Wembley 83 cost us.
What position would you have played ?
Perhaps not as I shall be seeing you this week
