With around 2000 season ticket holders, already paying for this game, I would imagine that more revenue was made, than most other teams in this league can only dream of

In fairness you guys paid for the match when there was no admission fee. Perhaps you see why they did it and support it, but I could imagine some season ticket holders might be unhappy?????? Maybe not?

Regarding season ticket holders, we get a free game next season if we re-new early enough, clever idea. And as a season ticket holder I was not the least bit unhappy that we ran free admission last night, it was great to see 5k plus in the Stobart again.

To be honest, we couldnt have picked a better game to let people in for free, we were 24-0 down after 30 minutes so the second half was very exciting for a Widnes fan or a neutral.

Hopefully we can get the attendances up, there was a time we used to average 3.5 - 4k even in this league.

Don't get in a slanging match about our respective clubs. That is what they want. They want to turn anything positive about our club in to a squabble about franchising, and then complain about whinging Widnes fans.

We let em in for free against Normanton and got 7500. Based on that I was disappointed by last nights attendance. It just shows how badly we are doing that people don't want to see us when its free!

If that was against a Leeds or Wigan that would have been 5,000. It's a starting point and very encouraging if you ask me. I suppose Widnes were getting upwards of 10,000 in their 4 season in existence.

There are 1000 tickets from the rfl for the Wakey game but not the Catalan game.

Maybe that is what you are referring to? When it comes down to it if the rfl want to pay for tickets and offer them as a prize then who are we to argue.

People ask what we bring to rugby league, well there are 3,000 or so new fans for a start. As the Widnes fan said previously, in comparison to the last time you let people in for free your crowd has gone down considerably. At least we seem to be heading in the right direction and as long as we progress over the three years we will be fine. As much as I want to see teams progress, within reason, I can't see you lot doing too much of that if you continue in the way you have played the first half of the season.

We had no control over this but you throw your gates open to anybody who will come for free and expect it to fall under the radar. If you can't take it don't dish it out.
