Indeed, give us speccys south of Yorkshire a chance to watch it too. Today I tried to watch it via the red button but it did not appear, neither did it appear on the bbc site to watch it while being broadcast - so I have to wait until tomorrow pm. Booh! Having to guess when it will be on doesn't help.

| The quality AND time slot(s) of the show is a joke.
But give me a usual time where I can see all the games and I'll watch it.

| It seems pretty obvious what people want for the show.
Nationwide coverage, regular timeslot in the evenings. Easy.
Change of presenter?

Barry McKenzie has only ever watched the 'Superleague show' once.... and that was only because it came on one night after I had stayed up late to watch a movie. I'm living in London now and I saw it???
Unless it runs a different format each week I can honestly say it was the most boring show I've ever had the misfortune to watch.
It consisted of some bloke (who I'd never head of) asking Kevin Sinfield (a player who with no disrespect meant is hardly the most captivating of people) a heap of questions about how other Superleague clubs are getting on whilst showing a few tries. I seriously think I fell asleep before the end.
As Barry McKenzie said earlier in this thread most people who like to regularly watch Rugby League in the UK and follow a team will have a skysports subscription because its the only place to watch RL... apart from the occassional challenge cup game and the odd international.
The BBC know this... so why will they bother changing the format of the superleague show or moving it to some prime time slot when sky provide better coverage?

| Always watch on iPlayer so timing for me is irrelevant.
Did anyone see the Ellery performance regarding the England team. He said 'extremely talented' about 8 times. It was a shocker.

| SLS is all a bit amateur for me. Its one of the areas where RL lets itself down as a sport.

| I do think it needs a revamp, Harry Gration out and someone a lot more dynamic and interesting in.
But the new presenter has to wear awful jumpers out of respect for Gration!

| It is a disgrace, RL is played at some level in almost every part of the UK so the pinnacle competition of the sport should be shown nationally at a decent hour.
Meanwhile we get saturated with matches such as Honduras V Chile which have so much meaning for the British public.

| For me a standard slot on a decent channel would go a long way to helping the game in this country.
The other lot have their highlights show on ITV4 between 6 and 7 (mostly) and that must help them out with people viewing and wanting to find out more.

| Agreed, Sunday evenings would be best, but i'm fairly sure there would be a slot on a monday evening with all the channels they have.

Sunday night would be best- if they can get some highlights of all the games, teams that have there games on sundays rarely have there home games on, or if they do its because they have already been on sky on friday or saturday.

| It seems common sense for what to do with the programme to make it popular, stick it on a sunday night nationwide and improve to production and quality of the show. It would be great for the game if the BBC could do this.

| The problems with the show are obvious. It looks amateur, unprofessional and is produced before all the weekends matches have been played. Then theres the timeslot and national coverage. They basically need to look at MOTD2 and copy the format. It'd also help if the presenter and guests didn't act and dress like they've gone to a mates house for a BBQ and a chat. They need someone in the mould of Alan Hansen, someone knowledgable about RL, who can explain certain aspects to people who are new to the game.

| Correct. Better production and a better presenter. Robbie Paul comes across okay I think, but smarten the lad up. John Kear is okay. Sinfield and Peacock sound like cavemen! I've not a clue who i'd pick as a presenter. Copying MOTD2 format would be a great idea, even the soccerball fans can relate to it then as it would feel familiar to their little brains.
Who's a presenter or former player who knows their stuff?

I'm not sure, that's part of the problem.
I know that Mark Chapman (from Radio 1) has done some sports presenting and used to watch Hull while at uni. When he did the sports bulletin, he'd always try and get RL in there. Other than that I'm struggling.
Just anyone who has some enthusiasm, hasn't got a broad northern accent and comes accross as professional will do for me.

| John Gaunt of The Sun newspaper, formerly of Talksport supports Hull, as does Adrian Durham, currently of Talksport. Also strong newspaper/media links with those two and i'm sure they would be made up if they got a sports tv show gig.

I’d like to see how John Wells would get on at presenting. He’s an intelligent bloke, not full of ‘erms’ and ‘ya knows’ and has a lot of time on his hands now. Whenever he’s been on the radio he’s come across well. Hopefully could be RL’s answer to Gary Lineker (and not John Barnes).
