Bought this afternoon 5x hospitality for OT next Saturday. £1300. Why just because I can and I want to support RL in this country. Whoever's in the final it will be money well spent. Plus I couldn't get 5 seats together anywhere else in the stadium so I thought sod it. This only happens on these shores once a decade.

Finally thought "F**K it, support my sport!" So off to London from Blackpool on my jack Jones on Friday. So if you see a sad Tw*t in the stadium not standing up for the anthem ( don't do royalty) please don't give me any abuse.

84k to 41k a season later, that's one pretty dramatic fall in attendance. I can think of a particular thread on these boards that would be going into meltdown if it was Rugby League

the booking system for the world cup seems to be going wrong again; won't load the pictures to show the blocks etc, fast tickets are the only part thats appearing. I've lost count of the number of times this has happened over the past few days.

Read tonight that St.Albans centurions club have sold 800 tickets for Wembley. I have also read people question why it is held in London ...

I believe they have and that is sensational.

How many have the London Broncos sold? Wigan? Wire? Leeds? Saints? Bradford? The answer....probably zero! And that needs to change. We call the NRL for not looking past their own nose when it comes to the international game but we probably shouldn't throw stones! Some of our clubs are shambolic.

They promoted the 83K game as a world record attempt...... I believe they git 38k the year before that game and 44k the year before that.....so no, not a massive drop, just a change in emphasis. NB; Bloke that marketed the 83k game is employed for the Big Hit....he's also CEO of Melbourne Storm now....bloody unionite eh

2013 CC ....2,434 average for round 4....4,497 for round 5 and A whopping 5,722 for the Quarter finals you want to bring up the attendances in the early rounds of the 2nd tier cup in England which currently averages 8,120 ....EPIC FAIL

My teenage kids stopped saying epic fail 5 years ago. 83k to 4k in just over a year. Just saying - brand loyalty and all that. Where did I mention the Challenge Cup?

I fail to see how Saracens knowing how to fill Wembley is a bad thing? They average about 40k for their annual Wembley game but in 1 year they pushed for a big crowd and got it.......how in any world is that a bad thing?

It would seem the RLWC organisers like the way Sarries do business......they've hired the same guy for the Big Hit....Australia will go from 5,762 to 70,000......the guy's a friggin genius

I already conceded that 360k would be smashed at the RLWC and that attendances have been better than I expected..........is you bringing this up an admission that you were wrong to compare Saracens event marketing with their 2nd tier Cup attendances?
8,326 is their Aviva average after 4 home games.....not brilliant, but 61,428 is their average in the Heineken Cup

...I suspect they won't get as many for their next home H-cup match....they're back at Copthall

The average crowd for SL only ties in the Challenge Cup in 2013 was 12,162. So the LV doesn't come out on top. Not when you compare like for like.

This RLWC has exceeded expectations at a time when the game was struggling to get crowds in SL, we should all rejoice in that and congratulate whoever was responsible, including the fans who have bought tickets and turned up.
