| Has any English player ever made such an amateurish, hilarious, costly screw-up as Billy Slater in the world cup final?
Still brings a smile to my face ......

| Interesting how Cameron Phelps, playing well at Full Back for Wigan currently has had to be taught the full back basics by Kris Radlinski.
[size=59Although admittedly he was seen to be more of a 6 by Aussies[/size

| Quote ="Cronus"All I said was there's a case for it. I've seen them given, I've seen them denied. This one was denied. Would the defender have prevented the try if unobstructed? Possibly - Briers had to adjust his defence when he was suddenly 1-on-1. Probably the correct decision overall but I've seen very similar tries given.'"
Clearly Briers was left exposed by the fact that Bridge couldn't slide across. However that's not really the issue, the question is did Bridge try to tackle the dummy runner, did he 'buy' the dummy? If he did it's a try, if he didn't it's obstruction. It would be very similar either way.
You can see him watch the pass go back to Brown (behind the dummy runners) and then turn and run his right. There's no suggestion he is trying to tackle the dummy runner, the dummy runner is simply directly in his path.

| Quote ="The Glorious League Freak"Being able to make a good read in defense.
Fullback positional play.
being able to pass to your left, and right, if you are a halfback.
How about not running into the back of the only team mate within your half of the field and giving away and obstruction penalty!
What about a prop thinking he can throw lobbed passes to his Centre without getting intercepted.
Just simple, basic, under 9's like mistakes. And these are your best players!
'"
1) Wellens might be a crock of crud but one thing he has is positional play. Its how he's got away with stealing a living for ten years.
2) You mean like Michael Monaghan? The guy cant pass to save his life, clever player but its bloody frustrating watching ANOTHER one of his passes be intercepted.

Our coaches are your coaches!!! English coaches cant coach because all the coaching jobs are taken up by Aussies who, according to you, don't coach.

| I see how you ignored my point just to move on to another useless one.
When you send clubs over here, without making excuses then regularly beat ours, you can have an opinion.

You're stealing my thunder here, move on son.
I expected him to brandish that point only for me to quote the many posts where he claims the NRLs superiority and that Part time sides could beat them with what, 3 days a week training.
I would briefly respond with; your NRL supermen should be able to beat our part time whipping boys pi$$ed or not..
