Not much free flowing rugby but plenty of commitment and physicality.

Decent enough game if not a high scoring thriller. Its certainly beats watching Eastenders on a Thursday!

I thought that was decent quality for a first game. Always good when it goes down to the last minute.

Thought it was ok when as people mentioned you take into consideration it was week 1. Leeds have for many years struggle in the final 20m so tonight was nothing new.

I didn't think either team would make the top 4 before the game and haven't seen anything tonight that has changed my mind.

To suggest that means you must have already seen all the other teams in action in Round 1, care to share all the scores too so we can make a killing down the bookies?

Not sure I agree. There was some real good defence on show but it lacked some real quality attack. Im sure it was just some week 1 blues and the teams still getting to gel.

It's not took long for the first "mystic meg" to make an appearance after one single game.

Boring game to watch. Turned it off after 60 minutes and i've never done that on an opening Sky fixture.

More quality in the the first 5 minutes of the Indigenous game than we saw in the full 80 minutes of our SL opener.

Could be worse, either of those teams could have been playing an Aussie side next week..

It show cased the current quality of "super" league. I still enjoyed it. Was a decent enough starter for my main course of 6 Nations. Leeds picked up where they left off last season...bottom of the league and Saints looked like they hadn't been in the red zone at any time in their professional careers and thus, was completely alien to them. Can't question either sides defense though and the effort both sets of players put in.

Surprising really, I thought it got better as the match went on. Close scoreline and both sides with a few breaks to win it made for a pretty interesting finish. Some great tackling from Golding and Fages and a belter from Makinson as well.

Missed a trick there imo.

Not the best game we'll see all year but definitely "one for the purist"

If it wasn't my team i would have switched over after 20 minutes.
