Castleford never, ever promised or were required to be playing in a new stadium by 2012. What they did promise was "significant development" towards a new stadium, which was the RFL stipulation during this franchise. This has being achieved with both outline and detailed planning permission being given for a stadium at Glasshoughton.
Castleford's obstacle now is to sell the current ground, which requires planning permission so a retail development can be built. They will need to overcome this obstacle and be playing at Glasshoughton by the next franchise application.

Wakey with excellent changing facilities/Salford awful crap hole
Wakey with excellent corporate facilities/Salford has a "Variety Club"
Wakey with very good spectator facilities/Salford have 2 blokes selling cans from a shed
Wakey with very poor terracing i.e. not banked enough/Very good viewing at Salford
Wakey with limited cover/Not too bad at Salford
Good toilets at Wakey/Still ing on walls at Salford + no running water to wash hands!

The fact remains, BV is considerably better than the Willows - they ain't at Barton yet!

It's not better, Belle Vue is the worst stadium in the league by some distance and only the most biased of fans would claim otherwise. Either way, comparing Belle Vue and The Willows is irrelevant because Salford have done something to rectify their problem.

Salford have still got very few fans though, whereas Wakey is a great RL community.

Salford offer very little IMO.

FFS lets have a vote on here !!! i know us(salford havent many fans at the MOMENT ! Jusk like Wire and Hull didnt in there old grounds) but surely to god even comparing the dump that is Belle Vue to the Willows isnt even a close race!!

They offer very little because of their fanbase is smaller? judging on this season they've offered a lot more on the pitch than Wakey anyway. I prefer Salford a lot more than Wakey, I'd have the Willows over BV as well.

I'm no advocate of Salford, but my gripe with Wakefield is that they have repeatedly promised extensive ground improvements over a number of years and all they have delivered in that time is a giant inflatable cat over the players' tunnel. Neither club has an acceptable fan base, hopefully Salford's will grow in a better venue. I can't really see Wakefield's increasing.

WR, Headhunter - knock yourselves out. I have listed a comparison of the grounds merits - tell me exactly where I am wrong.

Willows IS the worst ground in SL by a country mile - and that's official, not just my opinion. Hopefully, it will be in the detail the RFL disclose later this week.

BTW Wakefield's attendance is up 16% so far this season - on the back of the worst year the club has had in a decade.

Surely you should think before posting, I said they offered more on the field this season and you've just proved my point they've won 3 more games, so therefore they've offered more on the pitch. Cheers
