Agreed: It was never going to be perfect. Our game has never been perfect. Anyone who builds a club from scratch and gets quick success is always going hit some obstacle that then have to be broken down, steadily. Planning are flexibility is key. The energy, money and time required is difficult to sustain as you cannot keep all of the people, happy all of the time. Too many sidelines screamers. You heard them, you've tried to ignore, them, you know who they are. They are the ones that never made a tackle,started or ran a club, or took the whistle to ensure players can 'play our wonderful game, but alway they know the rules better than the ref.

Sometimes quick success is a chain around one's neck as fickle people want it to continue EVERY year, thereafter. It cannot be done smoothly. There must always be a ten year plan, that is updated each year, (so ALWAYS a next ten year plan), because you will hit peaks and troughs.

TWP may or may not succeed in SL with the COVID chaos that is affecting every single company on the globe, but wow what a great job they have done thus far.

Given the Covid wasn't the reason at all for TWP's collapse, it was Argylle pulling out, I think we should wait until Ottawa declare a real owner who has real money to burn, and wait until we see if the 2022 SKY deal suddenly changes from what SL bosses said it will be which wasn't NA expansion before, NOT writing them off as a possible future professional SL club

Genuine question for fans of Leigh and current championship clubs.

Genuine consensus on these threads is that Toronto should be dropped a division or two. If this were to occur, they would probably favorites for promotion at next years end. This would create a problem for ambitious champ clubs who would have their promotion chances greatly reduced.

What would you prefer? Toronto to stay in super league or drop to championship but therefore reducing your clubs chances of success?

What squad of players will Toronto have next season, will they be in a position to max the cap and who would sign for them - difficult to see what there set up will be for next season irrespective of which league the will be in

This sounds like a sensible plan.
However, with players and staff furloughed and no plans to begin training, how would you start up any play off competition ?

Unless a format could be agreed amongst the Championship clubs, with agreement from SL that the winner had the right to be promoted, it's a non runner.
Even if the top 4/6 clubs were heavily in favour, what about the rest and it's worth noting that every game would add to the losses of the clubs involved.
The cost of players, staff, medics and rental of "covid safe" stadia etc, makes it all the more difficult to get going.

Having said that, some sort of mini league, with the winners gaining promotion, has to be better than some kind of arbitrary vote or cherry picking a club of SL's choice -this would be massively unpopular accross the sport.

Perhaps it's up to the Championship clubs to come up with a plan and force the issue ?

You champion English champ clubs and have said recently that Toronto should be in championship. If that is where they are to restart, then it makes life a lot harder for Widnes, Bradford, Leigh, London etc.

Just read about Ricky Leutele - hasn’t been paid for 2 months, the house the club were renting for him (Part of his contract) he’s being evicted from due to unpaid rent, the car they leased for him has been taken back as not paid for, his visa has expired and he’s having to pay for own flights home (again which club had agreed to pay for).... There’s lots of talk around the game of them not paying their bills - doesn’t sound good - I know there’s an argument they’ve had their hands tied behind their back with no central funding or support, but that is what they signed up to.... there must be serious concerns for their future existence.
