Cas Tigers and Widnes have both tried to make a mark in the Super 8's and get a bit on momentum going into next year.
Catalans have had a go in the early rounds but faded badly at the end.
Wildcats have simply gone into hiding after round 23. The "Job done and feet up" mentality is what has let the competition down this year. I know what type of performance I prefer to watch.

I'm just thankful it wasn't Huddersfield, if only for the state of mind of some of their posters.
To hear some of them talk you'd have thought they'd been relegated & gone bust all in the same week.
God help them if they actually have to participate in the M.P.G. the Samaritans phone line would go into meltdown, along with the domestic violence helpline.

My team (Tigers) have seen relegation from SL twice and its is totally devastating. It takes a strong willed club with a ready made supporter base and a bit of a financial gamble to get back up. The game isn't big enough yet for this type of system.
Until we reach between 14 and 16 clubs with the financial clout which is level and above to Leigh we should freeze the competition to the existing 12 and add to it until we reach that level IMO.
