I still think its an absolute Pee take that Fatnamara handled the brough situation so badly it resulted in Brough electing to play for Scotland. Brough has been outstanding this season and is far better than any other half back currently playing in superleague and When you look at our potential pack that will give him the space to play, I think he could have done a job against the aussies and kiwis.

Believe me they're trying. Since Sam returned from his ban for the 'squirrel grip' tackle (which fair enough was out of order) he's been under close scrutiny for his every move on the pitch. I've seen the Aussies blowing up over a couple of nothing incidents from the Roosters game last weekend; an eye gouge on Jimmy Maloney that wasn't, and a push on Jared Waerea-Hargreaves that was only in retaliation to an elbow to one of his team mates. He'll have to be careful in the finals.

Now that we've lost an Australian from our squad we'll have to replace him with an Englishman presumably. Fingers crossed McNamara can find one.

this is a bigger blow than people are making out, how many times do we get smashed out wide by NZ or OZ late in games? Reed would have been ideal as centre for 80 mins. I'm nervous about our three-quarters defensively at Test level.

Jack Reed is an excellent centre. He is an excellent defender, which most of the leading English centres are not. Jack Reed is also an outstanding jumper for the high ball on the opponents' line, better than any of the leading English centres: he's Jumpin' Jack Flash it's a gas, gas, gas!

cudjoe is a great defender and can jump very high too

England could have the highest jumping centres in the world cup as Kallum Watkins can also jump very high, runs quite fast and can catch and pass a ball, sometimes in the same movement.

There are of course other skills to consider, Kirk Yeaman for example is really very good a diving for the line early and sliding across on his belly. Then of course there is the chap at London whose name eludes me, he is really evasive often managing to completely avoid opponents running at him!!!!
