The second one certainly can't. Dangerous tackles happen, it's a rough game. Calling the ref a f*****g cheating b*****d is indefensible. They need to throw the book at him and make it clear that they are going to make a stand against the ever increasing disrespect being show to refs lately.

agree with this. there's too much of it going on in the game. by all means have a respectful chat with the referee about a decision but that's all. they now have a chance to make an example of a player to nip it in the bud. tough for the leigh player but he should have kept his mouth shut

I’d say there’s a bit of a difference between celebrating being top of the league and continuing to play well as opposed to celebrating beating a 12 man Championship side. Plus, whilst the past few years haven’t been great they haven’t been as bad as people like to make out. Your last sentence can’t be true (unless they’re being cocky elsewhere) because, as I have been told on numerous occasions, there’s been a ‘mass exodus’ of saints fans on here and as a result there are few left.

He has already been on our forum telling us that even at full strength we are average and have no chance on Sunday. The similarities between his comments and the ones we got from the Cas fans this time last year are uncanny.

Calling a team average is not cocky, in all honesty everyone apart from Saints and Wigan are average. Secondly, I never said you’ve got no chance, I said little chance which is fair enough seen as we beat you easily without our best player. You perceive it to be cocky because you don’t like it, which is your choice.

This thumping of Leigh by an injury depleted Leeds side (it was a 13 man Leeds team with one interchange as well as a Leeds team without eight of its stars), combined with the brutality of the Leigh players (Mata'utia deserves to be banned for 6 weeks for his recklessly dangerous tackle), was convincing evidence that Leeds belongs in Super League and Leigh does not.

I'm absolutely knackered, been up since 6am, got home at 11:30pm after the game. And there is no way I'm letting you wind me up. I'm a proud supporter of Leigh Centurions, I love the club 'to bits' and unlike you I don't constantly wind folk up, for not supporting teams that I have no interest in. The problem here is that there is dollops of jealousy to AS108 simply because Saints are looking good and entertaining everyone with their rugby that they're playing and you don't like it.

The "Halifax game" will decide which of lowly Leigh and hopeless Halifax has a chance of reaching the top 4.

But it is possible that neither will reach it because frivolous Featherstone looks determined to stay there, and we know that the other three, the top three (tremendous Toronto, terrific Toulouse, and lovable London), are nailed on.

I actually wanted to see a good game last night. Part of me genuinely thought that Leigh would cause an upset, but the indiscipline of some of their players put paid to that and ruined it as a contest. I don't think it's "ungracious" to say that.

The Halifax game is a must win for Leigh if they don’t want their season to be over. I expect both the full back and winger to be suspended for it.

The thing is, referees are called this by anyone from Danny Maguire to Sam Tomkins to Chris Hill to Danny Brough to any number of payers swearing at refs EVERY SINGLE WEEK!

One game a few years ago the camera panned to Shaun Wane as he clearly mouthed “you f’ing bent ‘see you enn tee’!” about the ref.

It should have been culled from the game years ago. Probably the night James Graham was seen saying the F word six times in a rant at Thierry Alibert only for Alibert to just ignore him and forget it.

It’s rife in British RL and is disgrace in the game all that.

There's a difference between swearing at the ref and calling him a cheat (whilst also swearing aggressively in the process). He needs the book throwing at him.

McGuire and Brough do it to influence the referee so no doubt you can clamp down on that with harsher punishment and they’ll soon stop. However, Dawson said what he said out of anger/frustation more than anything else. He’ll no doubt have regretted it as soon as he was off the pitch but I think it’s almost impossible to stop players taking their anger out on the referee as it’s a heat of the moment thing.

I've seen my team win 16 trophies in the last 14 years and are the reigning champions , I'm not jealous of any other club.

Rival fans have enjoyed Saints struggle over the past 10 years and now we look good again they don’t like it and are jealous of the current position we are in. I might come across as cocky because my views are harsh and I’m brutally honest but if I was a fan of a lower side in the table, would I be called cocky? Probably not.
